And the whole "greatest generation" thing doesn't explain it. Most of them never had to actually sacrifice for the war. Heck, most "old" people today weren't even alive during the war.

Maybe they just thought your wife was a crappy server or a beech or something

You're pretty riled up tonight. But you're touching on a couple things I wanted to talk about last night, but was in too bad a mood for

What is this trash? Are you serious?

Please don't guilt trip us with your parents. We've all experienced such things.

Not intended as a guilt trip, but as a way that I understand some of what some of these people might be going thru. It sucks getting old. Your body doesn't work the way it used to. They probably hurt everyday. They have a right to complain a little. Your posts are way more telling than the little spat you and I are having right now though.... your problems go a lot deeper than this.

Since you never served, your opinion on military men and women mean nothing. Your words from your post applied to this conversation.

Your wife's opinion on the tipping habits of a handful of older folks at one restaurant are as worthless as you.

You and your wife are not deserving of a tip that may or may not be left by the men and women who may or may not have served in WWII. They certainly don't owe your family anything more.

Since tipping is everything to you, how do you sleep at night knowing our terrible tippers fought the Japanese in the Pacific? That has to leave you ridiculously confused.

What a little piece of trash you are.

Do you speak to your mama with that mouth?

You clearly have no idea what you're talking about. The "Greatest Generation" went through the depression the went off to war. You're talking about the hippie generation.

And the one thing I know from reading just your two posts is that your a cheapwad *******.

Don't lecture me, you creep. I know more about the service industry than you do.

ok, if that's what you want to believe

I just counted up tips from today

Lunch- Abuelo's 13 and change bill 6+ tip, rounded to $20

Cigar lounge with a buddy after his golf game
$13 dollar cigar, $12 dollar scotch- $7 dollar tip (bartender was hot, hope to go out with her when her divorce is final)

Clubhouse for a beer and the end of the WI game
$ 5 for the beer, $2.00 dollar tip

So what is that

$31 in meals/drinks, $15 in tips

Look, dude. If you only leave 1 dollar for a 30 dollar meal, that's between you and your maker. Just leave me out of it.

And so did my wife.

But unlike your beatific little ass, she actually had to work a job during college.

I did too, I did janitor work, cleaned the Andrew Johnson building downtown, and worked at Winn Dixie on Western Ave, along with an ROTC scholarship, so I am biased

Would it make you pathetic ass feel better if I told you I once gave a 25 dollar tip for a meal at the opening family night at Doc's (when my wife was working there)?

Yeah, you're badass for sure.

We've been through this before. You are worthless. One day you may mature and realize this. On that day you will be civil, humble and appreciative of people who are worth a ****.

I eat out a LOT. I tip based on service. Sometimes I leave a lot.. sometimes.. not so much. Tips are earned. It is a minimum wage job, and it's up to the server to hustle to make more. Interesting concept actually, you'd think it would train those in the industry to work harder in life

not at all, but your making accusations that you know nothing of, and today was fairly normal

I'm not a badass, and never said that...I'm fortunate, I have a good job, and I don't cook at home, unless my kids are here..then it's breakfast for sure, and if they want me to cook lunch or dinner I do, if they want to eat out we eat out

I actually like it when they want me to cook

Here's where you're wrong, spacehead.

Serving is not a minimum wage job.

See, here in the great state of Tennessee, people think of lowly servers as they think of welfare recipients. A great irony, considering how much they whine about having to pay for them.

Here in the great state of Tennessee, oh wise one, servers earn a little over 2 dollars per hour.

They depend upon your church-going gratitude for the rest of their livelihood.

But, who am I kidding? You're so smart! You knew all of this.

If your wife was anything like you, I doubt she tipped out very well. I spent a lot of years in Knoxville, never heard of Louie's.

Well, then you're dumber than I realized.

And kindly remove "Knoxvegas" from your handle.
