I had a friend who spoke with Chris Jones at the Arby's Classic. He spoke very highly of UT and Bruce Pearl. Looks like that we're in good shape with him right now.

Kid has speed, speed, speed.

I think it will come down to UT and Memphis.

2 things in our favor.
(1) Memphis will have to young highly rated PG's
(2) He is on the AAU team in Memphis that does not steer kids to Memphis of late.

Pearl is in Memphis today watching courtside at the FedEx forum as Chris' Melrose squad takes on Germantown high school.

Heard that Pastner showed up in the 2nd quarter and sat next to Bruce.

Would be good news for the BBall team. The kid is electric with the ball.

Still have a ways to go before we can get it in ink. I hope he can keep on track in the classroom and keep his nose clean off the court.

Yeah, it's been common knowledge for a while that Chris a heavy lean to UT. Bruce has sold him on the fact he could come in and immediately be the missing piece of the puzzle.

Well it's been reported on Scout that Chris Jones has committed to Tennessee. Great job coach Pearl.
