Well guys now that we pretty much know that Pearl is gone, are Chris Jones and Kevin Ware going to jump ship now?

Already signed. I don't think we'd release them, either. Since we wouldn't be able to hardly field a team without them.

I would think they would have a case to get their LOI's nullified in this case i'm guessing

I think there's a case, but it won't happen. In both the Pearl and Dooley cases, we said that the guys committed to a school, not to a coach. Not to mention it would cripple the program to lose an entire recruiting class in addition to 5 seniors and possibly two jumping to the NBA.

I'm not saying it will happen, I just think it should. I think Dooley should have released Brown.

Why? Are you senile? Coaching changes happen at plenty of schools every year. So you think any time a coach is fired all his recruits should be released?

I don't think recruits should be forced to play for a coach they have no connection to.

Tennessee would be making a huge mistake if they didn't release them. I doubt there will be a huge demand for either though. Jones due to his academics and Ware due to his limited ability to play basketball.

I think they should be let out, if they still want out after meeting the new coach.

If we let them out immediately, chances are they'd leave and sign elsewhere. But, as long as we don't take forever to get a coach, I think we should hold them until we bring the new guy in. Then, if this is not where they want to be, they should be free to go.

Both called Hamilton to be reassured that Pearl would be here to coach them. In all fairness we have to give them a release if they ask for one.
