Whatever happened to chris donald the Number 1 linebacker in the nation in 2006 in high school and came to Tennessee. I have never heard anything, don't know why but just started thinking about it.

From what I've heard and read, he supposedly has had major issues learning the defense and adjusting to the speed of the game.

John Chavis happened.

Donte Hightower is playing significant time for Bama.

Whatever happens out of this season, I hope it is Chavis' last at UT.

Chris Walker is at DE, and Donald was put there for a short stint. I'm going to give him more time before I call him a bust.

You definitely can't pin it on Chavis. I'd pin it on rivals ratings. But I won't call him a bust until his senior season is at least half way through.

Yeah i remember them trying that now. You maybe right. We seem to get alot of busts or guys that don't qualify.

That is interesting. Seems like Bama has been hitting home runs on the recruiting trail lately. USC, Florida, and LSU seem to get production out of their players and get them to produce early, but we seem to get busts or if we do have good talent, they seem to take forever to make it on the field.

If Hightower would have come to Tennessee, that guy would be on the bench, folks.

Yep, alot of talent has been wasted over the years. But some were just busts.

Is that bad luck or is that a trend of ineptness?
Guys don't panout at every major university. They're not all going to be great. Some just don't get it mentally. If you want me to say it has something to do with the coaching ,then i agree, some of it does. But not all of it.

Disagree. Nobody was recruiting him as a RB.

To take a quote from CPF "We didnt suddenly go stupid as coaches" I dont think CD went suddenly stupid as a LB either...
