He said nothing unreasonable. It is yet to be proven that Tennessee can go toe to toe with the top tier. Ohio and UGA weren’t even close games last year. Yeah, beat bama but so did Vandy. The worst UF teams in forever still win consistently in the swamp. I’m 100% on the CJH train but elite status has yet to be attained. Hopefully tomorrow is the turning point on that.

That stat is true but Heupel is 4-4 against Bama and Florida…Georgia is 53-5 since Josh has been at Tennessee. Georgia is 4-0 vs both Tennessee and Florida during those 4 years. Georgia is 8-0 against us since our last win and 7-1 against the Gators in that same window. So lumping Georgia in sort of skews the numbers - Georgia has had an unbelievable run against everyone not named Bama. I’m fine with him picking Georgia but he’s just fooling himself with his justification.

More interestingly though, where the hell did you shop at a Sears in the past 2 years that had batteries AND suits? Google says only 8 are left open across the entire country.

All of those programs were far, far ahead of Tennessee when Heupel took the job. Bama had Saban & a dominant team in 2020, Florida won like 10 games that year & Ga was on the cusp of winning 2 NCs. Taking credit for Ga dominating the series was limp to me.

We're 2-1 against Bama the past three years. We're 2-1 against Florida the past three years.

If you wanted to say we haven't yet proven we can play with GEORGIA or even OHIO STATE, I'd have to accept that.

But Doering wants desperately to keep his Gators relevant, even though they've been on the decline for a decade and more. So he plays shell games like these.

I think we're gonna beat UGa tomorrow. I think we're gonna beat Florida in November. But that's the future. For now, we have the recent advantage over both the Gators and the Tide.

UT is 2-2 with Saban’s Alabama the last four years

And Florida just lost to USF when they were the favorite.

When is the last time Florida has beat Georgia?

I don’t understand the argument they are making. Of course we aren’t where we need to be but to use that as a point is dumb and poor judgement.
