While he was still limited in a lot of ways, he did participate in team drills and ran some routes on air. During warmups, Brazzell was with the wide receivers, stretching. When the team split up for special teams work, he was quickly attended to by a trainer and did not participate.

Brazzell participated in a drill where they caught passes through contact. He was second in line behind just Mike Matthews. During routes on air, he ran abbreviated routes and did not appear to be at full speed.

Brazzell was in a white jersey and not a red non-contact or yellow jersey, which other players on the team have worn throughout fall camp while battling injury.

I was thinking about our wide receivers and how to get the best three on the field. I think it makes sense to play Matthews in the slot. I know he played there some in preseason last year, although he has been an outside receiver since. Maybe he has played it some in the closed portions of practices.

But think about it. Travis Smith at this point is probably one of our three best receivers. Jackson may be the fourth best. So put Smith and Brazzell on the outside and Matthews, who is smaller than those two, in the slot. That’s a pretty talented group. Jackson and Staley are 4th and 5th WRs.

Anyone have any idea if Brazzell will miss any time for the arrest? I know it was for speeding and revoked license (I not sure if that was the actual charge) Or will it just be a punishment in practice?

My guess would be this is handled internally. Really no harm, common foul.

It'll cost him money, for sure, and coming off an injury he can't really be run to death easily so Heupel might have to get creative. We could see him visiting hospitals, etc soon.

Not sure Staley would agree 😁 and it's probably be hard to keep him off the field. But I don't dislike having Smith or Jackson as an end. Set up in a 10 p with Brazzell-Matthews on one side Braley-Smith would be interesting to see. But then the TEs might not like it, hard to please all that talent.

We need a NIL for the police chief. My Father taught me to have a wide cash payroll. It extended thru friends to a state trooper in another county for a ticket going 83 in a 55. I had to call the trooper and make a sincere apology and ticket went away.
