We were walking back from class one day and people were gathered across the street from the bookstore at Stokely. We found out Reagan was on his way in.

We began messing around with them as they were looking over the crowd. Finally one of them stared at us and opened his jacket showing his piece. We sat down and shut up.

This one was kinda wild. Felt the thrust at take off, then about the time you felt it level out the pilot said we'd be descending soon. Felt him "gear down" a few time or slow down.

Yes, he was changing gears. Airbus and Boeing both use the “three on the tree” manual gear system.

Flew in one of those Bombardier mini-jetliners from ATL to Omaha. Had to walk to weird sections of the airports, stroll out onto the tarmac, and board using mobile stairs. It was throwback fun!

My mom lived there for a while. I liked it. First time I ever saw a Cruise Through and wanted to open one in my hometown in Tennessee.

A.J.'s was cool and Grayton (so) Beach was awesome. I was first introduce to a homemade Jalapeno popper at a little joint right on the beach there. Sand dunes and campfires. Really cool. This was back in the late 80's.
