But there would be an outcry from some if they didn't show the vids. The media is giving the public exactly what they want.

This guy was a sick, twisted individual. For NBC to show this tells people that he got what he wanted: attention. What does this tell the other people around the nation who thinks like he does? I shutter at what else could happen because of this.

The hell with the killer....give the air time to the victims! Don't glorify him by doing any kind of piece on him. Very bad move by NBC

This is all normal reaction to the situation.

As an example, we had a call earlier of a sniper scope sitting on a park bench next to Children's Hospital here in Columbus.

It turned out to be a plastic scope to a childs toy.

Yes. But I was wondering what would DISCOURAGE the next guy. I figure if this guy had been captured at some point into this mess and beaten to a bloody pulp and dragged out to the middle of campus and left for the birds to eat. That would probably not look so heroic to the other crazies.

this guy was messed up, a lady I work with has a niece who was in the dorm where the girl got shot she had no idea what was going on her RA was Ryan Clark. Somone banged on their door and told them to get out didn't explain why and said they could go anywhere else in the building but to get off the fourth floor. She said it was just total chaos.
