So it's your belief that inserting Stephens would solve our qb problems?
Just my opinion about your "savior".......Tennessee has been a respectible program with a national championship under it's belt. I dont think you hired the right guy and only time will tell. If you are happy with him and beilieve in the kool aid he is passing around........more power to ya.
Deleted.. I realized I was arguing with a moron troll
Urban is not my boy but should saban ever leave, I think he would be a good alternative. (see number of national championships won and top recruiting classes)
Atleast you got Orgeron in place.........he can take over when Kiffin doesnt produce as promised. I guess i dont understand hiring a big mouth that cant back it up. What is Kiffins all time record as a head coach?
hasnt proven that one yet to me...........atleast not as a head coach.
Well, thats it in a nutshell, I guess we'll sit on pins and needles till he proves to himself to you. Even though NFL insiders were impressed with Kiffin, but he still has to yet to impress you, amazing.
Way to put a lot of thought and effort into something and not being the least bit funny. You fail at life.We have two new coaches, each in their first year, one working with far less talent than the other. The one with less talent is innovative, uses the talent available to him in the best way possible, and starts winning. The other, who's just not all that good, isn't innovative, and relies on someone else's script (USC), focuses on fooling the unsophisticated UT fan base into thinking "Wait 'till next year!", and blaming their QB.
I wonder if Lane called a whole bunch of Auburn commits after he won another "moral victory".
So, was Lane so inept that he thought that Crompton could handle the job, even after having the whole off-season to evaluate? Or, was Lane's bulb just bright enough to see the Crompton wasn't going to cut the mustard, but far too dim to be able to step away from the USC playbook? WHo knows. Maybe daddy should brush up on coaching the offense, and let Lane stick to selling snake oil to teenage recruits.
Or maybe, he could call the person responcible for Lane's scam getting as far as it has for advice:
"Hey, is Norm Chow there? Oh this is he? Hey Norm, you know that cheat sheet that you gave me? Yes, that's the one... well the TEST has changed! Yeah! What do I do now! I'm in the middle of the TEST! Yes, yes, I know that daddy is the defensive coordinator, and he should be keeping me in the game, but he spent the entire off season studying to beat ONE TEAM, because I shot my mouth off when I took this class! Um what?! We didn't lose that game! It was a MORAL VICTORY!!!. The Raiders.... no, that didn't turn out so well. What? No, those Raiders losses were actually moral victories too! It was all everyone else's fault that they didn't see it! Back to the test, man. I'm in a bind. This football thing is confusing. Please help!"
UT's quarterback situation neutralizes any talent advantage it may have over those teams.

He was once the Tigers defensive coordinator. His last season, in 2004, Auburn went 13-0. He told his new team there was no reason not to continue that streak. By that logic, dating back to 2003, hes 20-0 at Auburn.
His goal was to retain the physicality on both sides of the ball that defined this program. He wanted a team those small town, no nonsense kids would be proud to call their own.
Other than the gimmick of visiting some recruits in a white limousine, he drew little attention to himself or the program last offseason.
He was the antithesis of his fellow SEC coaching arrival, Lane Kiffin, the Mouth of the South that he bested Saturday. Kiffin felt the need to engage the leagues powers, draw in the media spotlight and get everyone talking about the Volunteers and the great things they were going to do.
Chizik felt the need to just do it.
Thats our motto: We dont talk about it, running back Mario Fannin said
We're having the same discussion in three threads.
UT's QB situation is only a "situation" because Lane is stubborn. Pound the rock baby. We have two backs that average 5+ YPC and a Nuke package that has proven to be effective in very limited usage.
Lane continues to have Crompton be the center piece vs. working around him.
