Chip Rhome

Agreed, but to be fair, the lines weren't live on kicking plays.

What I meant by that post was that Lincoln is liable to be 3rd string kicker, behind the walk -on Rhome. I am under the impression just like everyone else that Palardy will be our kicker of record.

I followed, I'm just saying that we can't anoint Rhome as our #2 until we've seen him kick against a defense that's rushing. I expect he'd do better than Lincoln, based on today, but it's hard to say for sure.

Chip played high school ball at Blackman high in middle tn. I wondered last year why he wasn't kicking instead of Lincoln.

Chip's info on the Austin-Peay site:

Sounds promising! After Saturday's performance, looks very promising as well.

No, I'm not an insider or anything. He has a lot of friends and family here. He played about 15 miles away. That's just the word going around. I'm sure someone with access to practice could say whether or not he has got anymore reps than usual. He says that he has been.

Trying Rhome cant be any worse than Michael "Shank-a-lot-y" Palardy. Any time I see Shankapotomis on the field for a FG or extra point I cringe.

can't hurt to give him a try vs. buffalo. work on the running game and fg's. I would like to see us attempt a few to build some confidence in some kicker.
