Wide receiver Chip Reeves, a Stone Mountain, Ga., native, originally committed to Tennessee before then-head coach Phillip Folmer stepped down. Reeves’ father mentioned that Troy, who was also recruiting Reeves at the time, like to throw the football. That was all it took for the speedster to jump on board with Troy.

Disclaimer: Of course, I do not in any way, shape, or form, hope that Mr Reeves is injured in any fashion during the course of the athletic endeavor.

I bet he regrets that decision the way we've been slinging the ball around the last few years.

Maybe he heard of Hunter and didn't like to compete for a starting spot, LOL.

Oh, wiat...that was before hunter, LOL.

I think we had a pretty good WR back then though that's doing pretty good for the Raiders.

It's nice to still have a few former Vols in the NFL even though the number Tennessee has going to the NFL has been way, way down for the last many years unfortunately but that's going to change too.

VFL...GBO!!!

Actually, Chip will run past AJ while crossing the field just like every other reciever in the nation. After 8 seconds in the pocket, the QB will hit him in stride for a First Down, if not a TD.

This guy had several legit SEC offers including Tennessee. He loved Tennessee in part because of Tropper but even had Fulmer stayed I'm not sure Reeves would have qualified academically to play in the SEC. That's probably how he ended up at Troy. He's a pretty good receiver though.
