After watching the first half of the Music City Bowl, it’s safe to say that Chip Lindsey is either a terrible OC or just really couldn’t get along with Gus. This Auburn team has put up 56 points against a Purdue team that beat Ohio State. Either way, I think Pruitt dodged a bullet on this one.

Their win over OSU was the outlier and not the norm. This isn’t a very good football team for Purdue.

How did he dodge a bullet when he didn't offer the job? I think the UT Fans dodged a bullet......if that is what you are implying.

True.............no, very true...............no, absolutely true. It is my uneducated opinion, that Pruitt is not so much wanting to change the offensive scheme, but get someone who can call the right plays in a game. I know you all know this, but keeping the defense off balance and guessing is very key, UT has been pretty predictable.

My Grandma could call plays today for Auburn and the plays would work and she died in 1993, SPEED SPEED and more SPEED i know they beat Ohio State but other than Oho State the big 10 teams are slow watch tomorrow when as bad as i hate to say it a Average Gator team will beat Michigan because of team speed and this is a playoff team before the Ohio State game if the Gators take care of the ball they will win because of team SPEED and i HATE THE GATORS, so i am not rooting for them.

Here we go again with comparing teams purdue beat Ohio st, tennessee beat Auburn and Auburn is beating the crap out of purdue so Tennessee is big ten champs . That's how we stole 3 Michigan players.

very difficult to take anything away from bowl games that are not playoff games. Been around a lot of Tennessee bowl teams. More often than not, players were not interested in playing bowl games. Much more interested in having a good time and partying. It is really hard to know if teams are up or could care less about bowl games. I rarely make any conclusions based on bowl performance due to my experiences around bowl teams.

Purdue also lost to Eastern Michigan and lost to Minnesota by 31

I have read your replies and see the folly of my post. In the heat of the moment, I saw a lot of similarities between Tennessee and Purdue. Slow and pourous on the OL. Just imagined that this playcalling would torch the Vols and pointed the finger at the OC. Again, one game doesn't make a season. Should've listened to Coach Herm Edwards when he said "Don't press send."

And yes. I should've said we fans dodged a bullet had there been an actual job offer which clearly didn't happen.

I'm very good thank you sir.

I've been golfing a lot this year, traveling quite a bit and when home, making time with grandkids and now we have a great-grandson. So more to have fun with.
