It’s the best name I have heard and he has done well at Southern Miss and ASU. Malzhan was “forced” to give Lindsey more of the play calling this year but Gus just can’t let it go. Auburn’s issues this year are deeper than what you see on the field and a lot of that is from the frisction between Gus and Chip...........plus he’s a local guy here and I’ve always liked him lol

He's a 4 and 5 wideout air raid guy. Doesn't fit what Pruitt wants so your right, we probably will hire him.

Chip, no thanks. One of the few offenses our D made look shotty and that with him and Gus both at the helm. Dude and his HC are on the verge of being run out of town atm and that's who we are looking at?

CHF would be a home run imo and create some buzz and excitement for me at least. Proven recruiter with ties in W TN and a thorn in Bama's side, fkn perfect. Screw the SEC, hand CHF some cash and get this deal done.

Someone help me out here. Why Lindsay? I'm not opposed, I just don't understand the instant love fest where their offense dropped off dramatically from last year. Pros and cons?

Pretty sure he has never ran an air raid offense even in HS. He’s a spread power run guy but yeah, he doesn’t match what Pruitt has said he wants here,l.

General question about "Freeze is a strong recruiter", not specifically directed at any one post:

What went into this "strong recruiter" reputation? As I recall, when he was still at Ole Miss, there were lots of insinuations about dirty tactics. (Of course, this was VN, so there's that.)

Do we want whatever his gifts were in recruiting? Sure, initial results are fine, but we are certainly not among the golden few immune from NCAA (and SEC) investigations.

So that’s the measure? Top 5 based on yardage? I look at opponent-adjusted stats and I don’t see anything close to top 5.

best option outside of Freeze. PLUS he was lead recruiter for Bo Nix #1 dual threat QB. Could bring him and Pickens.

Sounds pretty good to me, I am not sure why some of you are so down on him. He has a lot better credentials than Ty Helton who more than likely never called plays before coming to UT. I am quite certain he didn't at WKU and it's debatable whether or not he called plays at SC
