Chip Kelly.

I honestly don't think that there is a program in the country that Chip Kelly would leave Eugene for right now.

We are doing Dooley a favor. He has already overstayed his welcome. I say if hammy wants to keep his job then he needs to fire Doolittle and throw the warchest at gruden or Kelly.

One thing a lot of people aren't realizing though, is Chip Kelly really hasn't had to do much outside of managing disciplinary issues. The Oregon offense has long been installed and maintained by Mike Belotti until recently and Kelly is just using what's already there. Wait until they've lost a lot more of their current offensive players before you jump on the coach of the year campaign. I too love his demeanor as a coach, but I'm thinking he's more Les Miles than Urban Meyer.

That is Chip Kellys offense. Mike belloti hired him from new hampshire when no one knew who chip kelly was. Oregons offense tottaly changed when he got there.

and chip kelly would not leave for TENN. Oregon has the best facilities in the nation and are becoming a HUGE force in national recruiting. With all the money phil knight has put into the program theres no reason to leave. Phil Knight and NIKE = best donor in college football. Once Chips contract expires you can bet Oregon will have a boatload of money for him. There not going to let him get away.

This is the most comical post I've seen about Kelly. Kelly "BROUGHT" the spread offense to Oregon. That is not Belotti's offense. Also, it seems that Kelly is doing a very good job recruiting. People forget that Oregon is a fairly YOUNG team.

I think for Kelly to leave Oregon, it would have to be for better money and equal or better facilities. Kelly would have to get on the "outs" with Uncle Phil for him to want to leave. Plus, who's going to out spend Uncle Phil?

I don't see Chip Kelly leaving for nothing short of a top 10 program, of which he most assuredly has if he stays with Oregon. With USC, UCLA and Cal nothin gclose to what they once were, I see a lot of blue chip talent migrating north to Oregon and Washington.

With that being said, Chip Kelly to say Georgia wouldn't be that much of a surprise. Georgia is loaded with talent and pulls in top 10 classes year in and year out despite the previous year's record.

Chip Kelly is an east coast guy, Georgia doesn't exactly qualify. I think the school he could go to is Penn State when that puppet job is over with. He has it good where he is at and I don't see him leaving unless it is a top east coast school, more than likely the Northeast. They are putting something together for him to stay so I don't see him leaving anytime soon. I also don't think he has any NFL aspirations.

Top East Coast? Does that exist?

Not really, which is why I said Penn State. A team with tradition and history that he can attract big recruits too and could turn around in a short time. I also think because those schools arent that great now and he has momentum going it will be sometime before he goes anywhere. He appreciates his roots and one day he may want to get closer to home, just hope it is after a title.

massively overestimating Chip Kelly's cache and Oregon's talent.

If and/or when Derek Dooley is not successful here at Tennessee, what are the chances that we go after Chip Kelly as our next head coach? Do you guys think he would leave Oregon for Tennessee, and how do you think he would do in the SEC with his explosive offense? After watching him last year, and the first 3 games of this year I am very impressed with his offense as well as how he conducts himself on and off the field. I think, with Tennessee's tradition, recruiting resources, and facilities (not to say Oregon's facilities aren't good) he would be quite successful as the head man in Knoxville. Just a hypothetical question for fun. Would like to know your thoughts on him. Thanks!

No thanks.

No, no, no, no, no. You are COMPLETELY WRONG.

That offensive scheme DID NOT COME to Oregon until Chip became offensive coordinator in 2007. You must be blindly idiotic if you don't think that Chip is one of the main reasons that Oregon is where it is today.
