Chip Kelly "Haven't gotten a call yet"

Some of you are so gullible. Do you think he would spill the beans if had received a call? Or more likely, he told the truth because his agent received a call and not him directly?

Don't believe anything you read.

Kelly has nothing to lose and a few things to gain by leaking that he is talking to a few schools. If he leaks that he has been contacted then that would force several schools to enter a bidding war, driving his future contract up.

I'm not saying that he can't be lying, because of course he can be. My point is that if Tennessee honestly hasn't reached out in any capacity (regardless of what anyone says publicly) then that is just completely unacceptable.

18 month show cause with NCAA
Racial issues in Philadelphia

He will not get a call.

Might want to educate yourself a bit more about his 'penalty'...

"Chip Kelly met the NCAA announcement that it had banned him from college football for 18 months with characteristic straightforwardness. He didn't make excuses. He didn't blame someone else, even as the NCAA made clear that Kelly had been unaware that his staff had employed Willie Lyles in a manner not allowed by the NCAA manual.
…

As the NCAA made clear, Kelly committed none of the violations himself. His résumé may be smudged, but his hands are clean. Any athletic director who reads the infractions case will be able to go to his president and trustees and make a case for Kelly."

As far as being a racist, I'm not buying it. Never heard anything like this until a few players got let go in Philly and it seemingly bruised there egos.

I’m telling you all....nothing will happen until the end of the season. Decisive games - S.C., Mizzu., LSU, and Vandy.

Nick Saban never received a call from Bama until after his introductory PC. :) Same with Butch Davis TWICE...when he was the Cowboys DC (hired at the U) and as the Canes HC (hired by the Browns). I wouldn’t gauge his interest by inside information provided by PAUL.

I never cared for the one word response "This!"

So I won't do it. But...

:)

I don't honestly see how a coach could reach an elite level in today's game being racist.

Coach that blabs his mouth like you advocate ain’t getting hired for a pee-wee team. He doesn’t need to drive up his price. He’s getting paid by two NFL teams AND ESPN. He’ll name his price.

Trent Cole is a friend of the family and played for Chip at Philly. He told my father (they are hunting buddies) that he loved Philly but couldn't wait to get out of there and go to Indy. Said Chip Kelly was a p***k and clearly didn't favor the black players. So idk, having said that I think he would get a lot more out of JG than Jones and Scott are. We wouldn't be getting shut out that's for sure.

Why do people keep mentioning a show-cause penalty that Chip Kelly DOES NOT have against him right now?

:b****: You don't think any of the games weve lost have been "decisive"? Blowing the east last year? Blowing 4th qtr leads more times than I can remember? SATURDAY?

sent email and called, ask for currie, you get transferred to his secy, tell her to relay the message we aren't accepting mediocrity anymore, and to please refrain from hiring a coach we have to google. Its not much but if thousands of us get together he will at least hear us, but will he listen

"Didn't favor black players" interesting I believe 75-80% of his roster was prob this everywhere he's been.. I could be wrong. Not doubting you but that just seems ridiculous to me..

I don't understand how people are okay with getting these high ranked recruiting classes and not being able to compete with other teams who get high ranked recruiting classes. People need to open their eyes

And... he won't until a critical time. His agent however... has already been spoken with if the AD is competent. That doesn't mean he's the main or only target. It just means that UT should at least be in the mode of finding people who would definitely be interested. In spite of the problems... that list pretty much has to include Chip Kelly.

If that's the case, then our AD is an idiot and I have zero faith in him. A blind person can see that Jones is done and the players are beaten down. There is nothing to gain and a #6 recruiting class to lose by waiting until the end of the season. There are going to be a whole lot of restless fans, more booing, and empty seats the rest of this season.

I fully believe Curry is already working through back channels to find the next coach. I don't expect anything to be public at this point, just my gut feeling

Love Trent, but it was also very well known that he was unhappy about being released and was desperately wanting to stay in Philly but at a ridiculous contract desire. His anger over Chip only conveniently came out after Cole was released and they resigned Graham.

Currie is supportive of Butch. He’ll finish the season and have the opportunity to “correct” hires. Recruiting class is pretty successful right now. Butch needs to let go if the reigns on offense. Players like Scott and thinks he can make some changes.

Omfg I pray you are way way wrong. Retaining Butch or any of his staff would be a terrible idea.

You really think Chip Kelly would tell that d**k with ears anything? She's like a gossipy preteen schoolgirl.
