Chinese spy balloon hovering over Montana

There you are deflecting again. Those other events whether they happened or not, I've seen no evidence has no bearing on this one now. You seem to be going out of your way throwing shade at your boy. I seriously doubt you'd be throwing out "what about" previous balloons if Trump was in office. At the same time you admit ignoring "I don't know what I think about Cina and Biden" ties to China. That's convenient considering the mountain of evidence against him. Given all that, I'm not surprised at your acceptance of a Chinese spy balloon over the US.

So basically you're saying that it only matters this time?

Edit: you really seem more concerned about my position on Biden than whether spy balloons have been floating around, so apparently it isn't that big of a deal.

So your whole argument is whataboutism? So your argument is it happened before so it's OK?

Who gives two ***** if it's happened before?
My argument is not that it's okay because it's happened before. I'm going to spell it out again for you... my argument is that if this is proof of subservience to China, then it's evidence that many presidents are subservient to China.

Show me where other presidents have allowed China to float spy balloons over the US.

It is still an illegal incursion of sovereign territory. The instrument is immaterial. The action is not. As a matter of fact, the relative pettiness of it makes Biden look even weaker as he can’t even defend his nation against a technology from the 1700s

Of course you have no idea what's going on. Nobody on this board does. Are we gathering data from it? Have we jammed its transmitting capability?

Hell, how big is it? Does shooting it down pose a risk of injuries on the ground?

Typical trump fan boy... all talk with no information

Such balloons typically operate at 80,000-120,000 feet (24,000-37,000m), well above where commercial air traffic flies. The highest-performing fighter aircraft typically do not operate above 65,000 feet, although spy planes such as the U-2 have a service ceiling of 80,000 feet or more.

Chinese spy balloon flies over the United States: Pentagon

Published altitudes of 60K. Most ceilings are higher than that.

120K would be a stretch even for the F-15 or F-22 though. Though I'm fairly sure the AIM-120 could get that far especially for a slow moving target. A little overkill perhaps, but worth it.

So, if we shot it down and there were civilian casualties on the ground... do you then blame Biden for shooting down a worthless target?

You realize we are talking about Montana where there's only 1.1 million people for that big ass state?

It's not like we're doing it in downtown NYC.

I dont GAF about Biden. You think this kind of stuff hasn't been happening under every president for the last president for the last 50 years? This is just the time we heard about it.

Has this actually happened or is it assumed that's the case? Why keep it a secret? If the .gov, for whatever reason, didn't want to go public about it there's still no reason not to knock the thing down when over a nowhere area. I can't fathom why this or any administration would tolerate a foreign device loitering in our airspace.

May be off base here, but have to wonder about an Administration that wants to suddenly make felons out of potentially millions of law-abiding citizens over firearms, but hey, if the Chinese want to fly spy balloons over the country, they are fine with it.
