If it’s Heupel, it really could be worse. Did anybody actually think that we were going to hire Freeze or Kiffin based on the “integrity” issue? And did anybody actually think we’d get another big name, or at least established head coach? Y’all, we are a dumpster fire and it’s going to take a few years to get back to where we need to be, if ever. If it’s Heupel or whoever, support the guy. What if he’s here 25 years and wins a title or two? We’ll never know if we Schiano the guy, like a few on here have already suggested. Come on.

I don’t think it’s Heupel. The main thing DW said is the players would know first. I think if there’s been a team meeting one of the players would’ve been all over Twitter by now.

Same **** just a different year. We did this crap with Dooley, Butch was decent, then we did this same crap with Pruitt, now we are doing it all over again. Our football program is around the same level as Vandy and Kentucky. We are no different now so I expect nothing less than a garbage hire

Excellent post. Some have jumped onto candidates Hubbs and AP have thrown around. Now some are trashing Heupel if he is the coach. Yet if some of those same ones actually listened to Hubbs and Price today would have realized how foolish some on VN look.

They discussed how the punishments have not been handed down. So an incoming HC has no idea what he is waking into. Both of them said that would could be a huge roadblock to hiring someone.

What’s interesting is people have praised Chadwell, Napier and some other offensive guys. But Heupel has a good HC record and ever since he has been there his offenses have been ranked #5, #2 and #2. So he has improved the offense. He has coached under Bob Stoops. Was the QB coach for Sam Bradford. In 2016 as the OC at Missouri, his offense was tops in the SEC.
