Did UT really field the better roster?
That is the one thing that every pundit could point to: UF had more talent on D than we had on offense. And, offense was our strong suit.
I bought into the hype too: but wishing doesn't make it any different. We don't have the talent that UF does. They won on that talent. It wasn't like Muschamp coached a lights out, infallible game. In fact, his team looked a little discombobulated, bewildered and undisciplined. UF won, because they were more talented.
I don't know why you want to convince yourself otherwise. Actually, yes I do. You want to convince yourself that this is a coach's failure, because that is easier to fix (fire Dooley, hire some "big time" coach and automatically win).
