It's been discussed many times before in the uniform thread. Basically it boils down to it's difficult to get the different materials to be an exact match in all different kinds of light. It's not just a UT problem either, all schools deal with this issue to some degree. Two shades that might match perfectly in true sunlight for a day game might not match at all under the artificial lights of a night game. In person the difference in color isn't nearly as obvious. Apparently some changes have been made this year that are supposed to make the colors match better, but we'll just have to wait and see.

Im getting tired of seeing uninformed people talk about our "yellow jerseys." If you don't like the color they are then you don't like Tennessee Orange. The jerseys are right, the helmet decals and pants stripes are wrong. Period. They are adjusting the helmets to match the jerseys this offseason.

That's what I'm really curious about.

The Kickoff people always do a good job of creating good matchups. Don't take it the wrong way but UT and NC State does not get a whole lot of people besides their own fans really excited about this game. I know UT has tons of fans in Atlanta and they travel well but I'm curious as to how much national attention this game gets.

Kiffin said players weren't coming to TN to play for the "yellow jersey" they were coming to play for him. That one statement got him put on the short list of folks who will get an immediate, no questions, a**-kicking if we ever cross paths.
