I think the Chik-Fil-A bowl is THE best bowl game outside of the BCS. GIven the time slot and history of matchups.

In modern era no question. Its probably better than some early NYD bowls. I am dissapointed that the Cotton Bowl seems to have fallen in stature. It was up there just under the Sugar and Orange when I was a kid.

Sold out to scalpers who are making a fortune on e-bay. Lots of Tixx available, especially on the Tech side.

Supposedly the tix soldout in a few days after the teams were announced. Out of 34 bowls...the Chick-fil-a matchup is ranked #9. Should be a good'un.

There is a scandal out here in AZ about the Fiesta Bowl employee money laundering with state and local officials. Junker the president of the Fiesta Bowl was always pernoid about the Cotton Bowl getting a bigger Stadium site and try to over take their status as a BCS bowl, because they have so much history etc.

First part has been accomplished.

It's on the way back up. Now that it is played at Jerry's Palace, there will be lots more interest in going there.

I guess they are forseeing the butt kicking they are about to receive.

I hope so...

But, probably more of an artifact that VA Tech will have played in ATL 3 times in 4 months following the bowl:

BAMA - Sept
GA Tech - Oct
VOLS - Dec

Maybe their fans are tired of ATL??? Could be.

I would rather watch the game at the bar than sit with VT Fans

Welcome to VN and thanks for serving. VT fans ain't so bad. The ones where I work are very humble to their superior VOLS fans.LOL. Just learned today that supposedly a Vol fan beat the crap out of a chokie down at Eastman yesterday.

No disrespect to your opinion, but "VT fans ain't so bad." Are you kidding, or are the Bristol-based ones just that much more aggravating?!?!?

VT fans I associate with (25 to 35 years of age) are CONSTANTLY ragging on UT. Seriously, it's led me to hate VT nearly as much as bama or the gators. Besides Vol victories, VT defeats are what I hope for the most every single Saturday.

Back in the years BV (Before Vick) there were NO Hokie stickers or flags on cars in the Tri-Cities area. Now, there's just as much as there is the orange and white. Sickening...

They talk about how "loud" Lane Stadium gets, how the SEC is "overrated" and how they'd hand it to us if they played us each year. (maroon colored "Tuck Fennessee" shirts are often worn by Hokie fans I know; but maybe that says more about the class of people I hang around than their fans in general)

The CFA is my first bowl game, and this is why!!! We got 8 vol fans going down, each and every one of us dying to see these Turkeys get what they deserve.

Losing is not an option.

Hey, sounds like we deal with the same people.

Not just Bristol. Try Roanoke.
