You will go if it's Music City Bowl, but started a thread on the Chik-fil-a Bowl?

I do hope it's the Chick-fil-A Bowl for the simple reason it's the better Bowl but I won't drive to Atlanta because of the distance.Call me crazy but I always have liked to see the Vols in the best Bowl possible!

Compass Bowl in Birmingham might also be a possibility, I'm all for my boys coming to town!

If we beat Kentucky and FSU beats Florida, would the Chick-fil-a bowl take 6-6 (2-6) Tennessee over 6-6 (3-5) Florida? I'm guessing we travel better (tickets, hotels, etc) but Florida is a better TV draw.

I would love to get to spend NYE in Atlanta (although Music City Bowl isn't too bad either).

Not to be a downer but it wouldn't surprise me if the Chickfila Bowl reps were there to see Vandy. Had they won out they would be 7-5.

I would like to see my Vols come to Carolina and play in Charlotte. Where ever we play WE MUST WIN. It is the launch to our comeback

Here's the breakdown of bowl slots for SEC teams. 2 teams out of Bama, LSU, and Arky are going to be in a BCS bowl. Whoever finishes 3rd out of that group will likely end up in the Cotton Bowl. The Citrus Bowl would then likely take UGA. The Outback, Gator and CFA Bowls would then take some combination of USCjr, UF and Auburn. Leaving UT, Vandy and Miss St. to be taken by the MCB, Liberty and Compass Bowls IF they all get bowl eligible. Miss. St. is almost certainly going to beat Ole Miss. UT and Vandy are less of a sure thing against UK and Wake Forest respectively.

Still, if UT can get bowl eligible, after last seasons attendance, I have a hard time imagining the MCB passing on us considering the crowd they typically have drawn when UT wasn't involved in the game.

Can 3 SEC teams make BCS bowls (ie- LSU-Bama national Championship, Arkansas Sugar) and how would that effect the rest of the bowl picture for the SEC, including the Vols?

No. It's specifically outlawed by the BCS that 3 teams from the same conference can be selected to BCS bowls. One deserving SEC team is going to get left out.

And according to the most recent projections I've seen, we'd be looking at NC St in Nashville or Tulsa in Memphis. Not sure I'd like NC St in a bowl then open with them next season. Then again I certainly won't want to be in Memphis for a bowl game either. Geez.
