I remember specifically versus Florida at home and the game was starting to get away (imagine that) and Bray airmailed it to the sideline and Dooley caught it and spiked it in disgust. That play probably is the best way to describe that whole situation.

With the talent on the team at WR, TE, RB, and his arm strength, he could have done that and beat 2/3 the opponents - but.....Dools got involved.

Dobbs played against Oakland and in his short time in the gamw hw three an ing.
Titans would never get Dobbs. Titans are lovable losers. They win just enough to get the fans interested and then when it really counts, they may an egg.
Lost game last night when play offs was on the line.
Year Manning missed season in Indy, Titans needed to beat Indy and they are in playoffs. Indy won 1 game that year and it was against the Titans, which knocked Titans out of play off contention.
Who loses to an 0- 15 team?????

Well, I for one will eat crow about Tyler Bray. I WAS COMPLETELY WRONG about him and the NFL.

I didn't think he'd make the roster of any team for any length of time. So, kudos to Mr. Bray for staying active in the NFL for as long as he has.
For the record I never questioned his athleticism or arm strength. I didn't think he had the mental skills to make it in the NFL.

I'd say he has done quite well for himself!

Bray never had it, he had the arm but nothing else it takes. Early on he was very inmature and never really studied the game like he should have. Many thought he would do great in the Pro's but it takes more than a arm there are other intangibles, I will just leave it there. GBO!

To be fair, Andy Reid loved Bray at Kansas City. That's why they kept him so long. And Reid commented on how much he'd improved and grown up. I just think it's hard for a guy like Bray to establish himself with teams investing so much money into quarterbacks. The Bears we're never gonna put Bray in front of Trubisky after using a high draft pick on him. And since Bray doesn't have game experience, it's hard to justify NOT using your draft pick on a quarterback if you need one. The NFL is a business before it's anything, and $$$ matters more than sense sometimes.

That's not to say Bray is better than any starter or backup, only that as an undrafted free agent, it's hard to get looks at that position unless a lot of things work in your favor.

Practice squad is a good gig, if you are interested in money but if your desire is to be a game day player, then practice squad is not good
Obviously, he has a skill set but not good enough to make 53 man roster
Why would Andy Reid sign him, then 2 years later draft Murray from UGA?

To clarify my prior comments, I think Bray has done well for himself by staying in the NFL on an active roster for this length of time.

I NEVER thought he'd make any team's roster at all. So, he has done well for himself, made some money, and should be set for life if he has half a brain.

Andy Reid loves him yet started Kevin Hogan (amongst others) over him. He’s going to make more money in his practice squad career than most people with doctorates, so I’d say he doesn’t feel like a victim of circumstances. And Tony Romo is a recent example that undrafted QB’s just need to make a roster to get those opportunities.

So much bad information in this thread lol.Bray as never been a practice squad player until this year and the only reason is the bears only dress 2 qbs a game.So when Trubisky missed a couple games Bray was the back up those games.Lol kevin Hogan didnt even make the roster in kc much less start a game.Murray just like Hogan couldnt beat Bray and was cut.

Dooley said in an interview that Bray played the Kentucky game with a broken thumb that was not completely healed,and that he had the flu... It’s comical how all these arm chair qbs who probably have never played anything at a competitive level love to say he is a quitter. Bray would be remembered very differently if Dooley hadn’t of hired sal sunseri.

You’re correct. He’s been inactive and thrown one career pass (incomplete)...huge difference. Hogan started for the Browns...my bad.
