Checker Neyland is a ploy to get the fans to turn out in force and really get into the game. I think the point the poster was making, that you replied too, is lets not rely on gimmicks for fan support. The coaches and players alike need to get their **** together on the field, and earn the fans support.

No doubt. I am beginning to wonder about the people on this site. Do you all live in your mother's basement? Virgins? No other life but the orange and white?

I think playing this weekend and checkering the field is exciting, win or lose. To be in a space with so many wonderful people cheering their team - what a gift from the Heavens. Winning is just a bonus. At least for the sane.

You others? Be sure to checker your granny's basement. You know, the one you live in.

The hell Georgia is going to come in to Neyland and fill our stadium. Gonna kick their ass all the way back to that dump they call Athens

My son and I get to Knoxville for one game a year. We're going to the game Saturday. My son was hoping it would be a checker Neyland game and he is ecstatic now. We are surrounded by GA fans at work and school and this would be a fantastic game in which to at least temporarily turn the season around. GA fans are way overconfident, as they are at the beginning of every season. I think the stage is set perfectly for the upset of the weekend. Go Vols!!

If they sell their tickets to what is the biggest game at home of the season, i would have to wonder why they made the purchase in the first place. Unless this is a way to further the foolish agenda and their intent is to hurt the team and recruiting.
