Asus EEE PC 4G - www.t3.com

and to answer the first comment
who would want to make this cracking machine suffer by opening it up and delving into its heart and soul?

I would

That elbow connector is friggin cool.

How hard is it to just add RAM ?

There is a yellow sticker covering one of the screws to the PCIe and RAM cover that says "Warranty void if removed". I carefully removed that with a knife and placed it on some slick sticker backing in case I need to ever put it back on.

You remove 2 screws, and pull the cover off. It is standard SODIMMs, DDR2-667.

I took a 1 GB stick out of my dell and replaced the 512MB stick that was in the Eee. THERE IS ONLY ONE MEMORY SLOT. So whatever you are looking for, it has to be a single stick. You have to REPLACE the 512MB stick that comes in the Eee.

Yeah, I thought the elbow was cool myself. The one I made I did my cutting up some USB cables I had laying around. It didn't turn out as well because the plug is too long and sticks WAY out from the Eee. I'll probably buy the components and make another.
