Take away the cupcake games we play every year & Jones record at Tennessee is BELOW 500..... This is with 4 top 15 recruiting class's. Nice guy hard worker but not an SEC coach. Tennessee makes millions on football, go out an pay a coach who can elevate our program back to where Fulmer had it. We always have great talent but sorry to say Butch is not the coach to get us there. The longer we wait the harder it will be. I love my vols and they play hard but Jones must go. It's time... JMO

Hello, Fulmer had us in the toilet--you know, the reason he's not the coach anymore & no one else would hire him as their HC.

Our SOS is always high. We have no more cupcakes than other teams, so this argument is doesn't hold water. If you play teams that are ranked near your ranking, .500 is expected. No other outcome would be expected. You'll have to be more specific about records and opponents to make a point.

"The longer we wait the harder it will be", why? Butch is recruiting well and loading the cupboard.

Take any teams cupcakes from the schedule and they would be below 500.

Think about it.. When was the last time you were proud of the way Tennessee played a game say 2 weeks in a row... I cant remember the last time we won without something freaky happening. Tennessee never dominates anybody... ranked or not!
I long for the 80's!

Some coaches are indelibly linked to their one school. Would anybody have hired Paterno? Even in the 90's? Bowden? Fulmer was Tennessee and it worked for the vast majority of time. This "no one else wanted him" crap is a BS take.

Maybe I'm wrong, but didn't Fulmer turn down a job somewhere after he was forced to resign?
