Rather mind boggling to think Barnes has won over 600 games , most of them in Power 5 conferences, and doesn't know how to coach.
The one ego has to be trolling. the alter has lost all connection with reality.

From reading your posts since RB was hired, you are a carbon copy of my support for DT. No difference whatsoever. Different folks have different opinions. RB Will have to produce results at Tennessee before I say he is a better coach. I watched Coach T coach here for a year. Now I get to watch Barnes.

Barnes has been a head coach for 28 yrs. Of those 28 yrs. he had great success during 13 of those. In the 1st 13 yrs. at Texas his overall record was 322-123, with a league record of 157-57. His highest finish in conference was 1st outright and tied for 1st twice and his lowest finish was tied for 6th twice. However, in his last 4 yrs. his overall record was 80-57 and in league he was 35-37. His best conference finish was tied for 3rd and his worse was 7th. What explains the big drop off? Why did Texas fire him? I think this tells the story in full.

Ask yourself, will he be the Barnes of the 1st 13 yrs. at UTA or will he reflect the last 4 yrs. of that tenure? Anyone wish to respond? If so, I eagerly await to hear!

BTW, you don't want to hear his record at Providence and Clemson!

Sometimes coaches stay too long, and a change is needed. It's that simple, that's what happened in Texas with Barnes and their football coach too. Same thing here with Fulmer.

sometimes a coach can rekindle the magic with a fresh start. It might not work here, but I'm going to wait and see how it plays out. I wish you'd do the same, but I know that's never going to happen.

How many times over the next 5 or 6 years do you think that we are gonna win 20 or more games when you take into consideration Barnes last 4 yrs. at Texas? However, he could win his first conference tournament in his 28 yrs. of coaching.

In considering your answer, ask yourself how many national championships would Phil Fulmer win had he not been fired in '08. Or in this day and time, how many playoffs for the nc would our fb team have been or will be invited to?

Providence: Made the tourney 3 of 6 years and the NIT twice. So postseason 5 of 6 years.

Clemson: Made the tourney 3 of 4 years, and the NIT the other year, so 4 for 4.

My first post after being a lurker for years. Are y'all really going to keep arguing with buzz4Tennessee after he said, "we had a much better record than I believe more than 95% of the coaches in America would've had here last year." I like tyndall, but that's the most ridiculous and asinine statement I have read on here and that's saying something. Tyndall has and will probably never be in the top 5% in any category of coaching in America lmao. He clearly has no idea what he is talking about.

I lurked here for 10 yrs. prior to posting and imo you have an opinion that I disagree with. If it had not been for the zone defense inside a man to man defense, we would never have beaten Butler, vandy twice, arky in tba, lsu in baton rouge, and made strong comebacks against ga, and arky twice. In the ga game at athens, Josh was taken out of the game by the dogs defense, yet he still had a shot at the end to take the game into ot. Against arky in Fayetteville, Tyndall drew up one of the cleverest plays that I have ever witnessed, and had Robert Hubbs hit the corner 3, we would have had another ot. In the SEC T, Josh fouled out under 2 minutes to play after we had made a furious comeback to cut the lead to 4 against arky and that is what cost us the game. You and all others that do not realize the youth and inexperience on our roster this past season must have had your heads in the sand for the past 15 months.

Of the 3 comebacks that were successful, the 2 over vandy were especially delicious! Being behind by 2 scores with about 15 seconds to play at vandy and getting the game to ot, by strategically using your to's, showed coaching brilliance! And then to win the game on their home floor should make all Vol Fans extremely pleased. To outscore vandy 20-2 in the final 7 minutes in the 1st game of the SEC T was just icing on the cake.

In the losses, our players just simply had an off night shooting, although they sometimes took 10 or more shots than their opponents.

Please tell me ONE coach in America who could have done any better and what they would have done to prove your case!

If I don't hear anything else from you, it proves to me that you absolutely have NO bargaining chip, whatsoever.

The reason we were able to win 16 games and finish at .500, despite having no post presence or true point guard is Josh Richardson. His leadership, skill and effort won us those 16 games, not Tyndall's coaching or his mediocre zone defense. Josh was already that type of player before Tyndall got here. So I would like to thank Josh Richardson for rising above the mediocre coaching of a dishonest man named Donnie Tyndall.
