Welp, obviously we suck at cheating. Someone on the Hill needs to step it up!

Kiffin tried to flirt around with this and he got swamped with "self reported" infractions left and right! Seems the "powers that be" at UT wouldn't "look the other way" like they do at certain "SEC" schools. I'm not a fan of it...but you best believe there is merit to the story! There's truth to the old saying..."if you ain't cheating..you ain't winning"! I mean really..do you think that "certain" powerhouse programs are squeaky clean?

And this is why Cut will never leave Duke for TN. He got a taste of this while at TN, the he tried to do it the right way at Ole Miss, but it wasn't enough when everyone else was cheating...so it got him fired.

I've been wondering how we salvaged our class around NSD last year.

Are the boosters and bagmen gonna step it up again this year?

My guess is after loseing to Candy Butch is on his own.

Glad that's all hypothetical and doesn't apply to squeaky clean UT.

That is a great read and insight into what coaches have to deal with. Yes, they get paid good money, but it really is a crappy job. If you win, that's expected. If you lose, you're fired. They spend countless hours, sacricifing their family and sometimes their values to build a winning program. Look at what Les did for LSU, was there any loyalty, nope, he was kicked to the curb in the middle of a season. I would hate to be a head coach.

What if normal jobs were like this. You're late on your TPS report, you're fired! Anyone catch the reference there :)

I thought some of the "I tried doing it the right way" stories could have been Dooley. In hindsight it could even justify some of the things that I hated at the time like if former players want to stop by they have to call first. But like most humans I'm a hypocrite at heart. I want to win now and don't tell me how the sausage is made. If I'm honest with myself I already know.

It's fairly obvious how this works. Exhibit A is a guy who managed to turn around 2 long suffering SEC programs with a mere 2 recruiting classes. Anyone who thinks that was all smarts and hustle is on crack.

I don't know about college athletes but NFL players actually get in far less trouble than the average arrest/incarceration percentages of other fields.

It's just not news worthy when the waffle house cook takes a charge.

If Pacman wants to make it rain bullets in Vegas, I could care less. If there's uneven onion distribution on my scattered, smothered and covered browns, I take notice.
