An LSU message board is reporting that John Chavis has accepted the DC @ LSU. And has signed the papers.

You know, during the season, I couldn't wait to get rid of him. Now, I'm sorta saddened by this news. After all, the defense was the only bright spot at times. I wish him the best.

He's a good DC...on 1st and 2nd down. Does anyone have the chart of what opponents 3rd and 4th down conversion rates were against us?

I checked a couple other sites for the story and no one else is claiming this nor denying it.

May take this with a grain of salt, til' more comes out.

The talent Chavis can bring in every year at LSU will cover up his many flaws as a coach.

Chavis was nothing but a coat tail rider while at Tennessee. When the talent began to disappear, so did his genius.

I've been saying for a couple days that it was all but done with Chavis for LSU and that O wasn't a very big possibility for them. Haley, I suppose could be a possibility. Chavis will also wanna bring a coach or 2 or 3 with him (Brooks, Caldwell, Slade).

I think they've already said that he can bring 1 coach with him.

They already have a thread for In Case O doesn't come going.

This was the board that was so positive he was coming yesterday.

I think HV is spot on with what Hubbs is saying, NO or UT.

I would have to believe he would take Brooks with him.

If he does, that will most likely make it almost impossible for Orgeron to head to BR.

Praise God! When we are down by three with only a few minutes to go he will have the Tigers playing loose to give us all the five and ten yard pickups that we want. If it is close we will win just before the game ends. :D:D:D

From what I have read it sounds like he will get at least 1.
More could be possible.

HV called his shot, why was everybody worried?
Hold on I was one of them.:ermm:
