His defenses have kept us from getting our b---- kicked worse than we did. Good luck on a head coaching job he deserves it.

I think Chavis will do fine in the job department.

He did a good job this season but look at where Wyoming's, Vandy's, Auburn's, Mississippi State's and UAB's offenses rank in the country.

I never wanted him gone, and have constantly argued that he is one of the best in the biz.

People bring up the FL game and what not, but we actually held Florida to less points than the rest of their opposition, except Ole Miss, if I'm not mistaken. And it was our turnovers and special teams that were more at fault than the defense.

So I don't understand how using FL for an example of how bad our defense was supposed to be as a reliable point.

Miami actually held them to 26, but after that their second lowest scoring games were 30 against UT and Ole Miss. Look for the gators to put up at least 30 against bammer and Oklahoma, too.

Chavis was NOT the problem at UT. Best of luck to him wherever he ends up.

I thought he would end up in the NFL as a position coach, maybe LB. Interesting, maybe he wants to to be a div II head coach.

Chief would be a fine head coach if given the chance...UTC would be a nice fit for him to get his feet wet...I wish him nothing but the very best, He's certainly been good to us over the years.

I think UTC would be something to consider but that job seems to be a coach killer for some reason.... Hasn't been the same since the "Buddy" Nix era!
