If your Chavis how do you try to attack this Georgia offense on Saturday?

I personally would put 8 men in the box and force Stafford to beat them with his arm. I know we have young corners but I believe they are talented enough to make some plays against Georgia's recievers. Sure they may get beat a play or two but they will win some one on one battles as well.

Besides I would rather force them to make those plays through the air then allow them to gash this defense for 250 yards and 4 touchdowns on the ground.

load the box or run blitz often. Loading the box bothers me some because it's most often Hefney that we bring forward. He's been tackling like Deion Sanders

I want to see McKenzie blitz all day. I want to see him in Staffords face at least once a series.

Blitz 75% of the game. Make Stafford beat us. He will have to play a very good game for them to win. This game will be on his shoulders. If he plays good they win, if he makes bad decisions and forces the ball we win. This one can go either way.

Give the LB's baseball bats.

play man on the WRs and load up the box with whats left. We can't let them run or we're looking at a shootout.

If I'm Chavis, I'll do what I just about always do. 4 man front, no blitz. And watch as their qb has all day to throw. Then not make adjustments.

Gotta stop their running game. Thomas Brown exploded last week. And he was their second best running back this year. Knowshawn Moreno is a big back that can pound it up the middle or get out and catch some screens, which they love to do.

We also have to defend up the middle on passing plays. They love to run slants and quick passes to Mikey Henderson.

Their O line is decimated, and the only team to exploit that was USC. It would be nice if we could create pressure with our front four, but that won't happen- we need to be able to blitz from the safety spot and let our LBs cover, but as we've said, when we can't tackle, that kills any defensive gameplan.

We might have to put everyone in the box and a few people off the sidelines.

You can defensive scheme this all day.....If you can't tackle it doesn't really matter!!!:horse::horse:

Yep that is what he will do and if and when he does blitz he will try and use lb.

Problem with this game is field position. The Dawgs have a great kicker and if they start every drive on their own 40 yard line...it will be a long day. We have got to find a way to shorten the game. If we play too much zone they will eat us alive underneath. Most of you have hit on the most important thing...if we miss tackles, the defensive scheme will not make a difference.

I would use the defensive scheme called "Tackling the Ball Carrier" followed by "Covering the Receivers Before They Get Deep".
