Where has that attack the QB mentality been all year? Why did he just now figure out you have to ATTACK good QBs?

It's hard for a defense to do anything when all you have is a "one man band" out there carrying the load.

If i had a dime for every mental lapse that has occurred on the hill in the last ten years. Well i might own a island somewhere.

I would like to say that's because maybe he isn't a very good coach. I'm not sure if that's the answer though because that seems too obvious. Thank God our D is good despite our coaching.

it's like the coaches do something that works well, then stop it and try something else. I was wondering the same thing! Where was the pressure? Same thing on offense... although not against Bama... nothing worked well

Obviously you haven't watched our defense play this year....granted Berry is the best player but several other guys have played extremely well.

Berry is wonderful. Maybe the next Ronnie Lott. But we have some other players that make plays for us. We have a really good defense.

Exactly. Berry wouldn't be able to do what he does without some talent in the front seven.

My point is Berry is in on just about EVERY play...can't say that for the rest of them...but your right we do have a good defense.

Yes our defense did play well but we still have a very glaring problem. I could not believe how wide open Alabama receivers were Sat. Night. They were going about 12 yards behind the line of scrimmage and camping out the same way Florida and Georgia receivers did. Why would anybody in their right mind not make some adjustments? I bet Steve Spurrier sees that in the films and guess what he is going to do.

I would take this defense for the next 10 years (Chavis included). Robert Ayers, Dan Williams, and Ellix Wilson: start the underrated thread cause their W/L record will never allow them the credit they deserve.

We collaborated with Alabama to play a lot of hitch and go. They would hitch, and our corners would go. We were wide open every time. :(

The reason receivers seem to get wide open is because Chavis has them playing 10-15 yards off...opens up curls, hitches, quick slants,I mean damn have them boys playing tight and bump them every now and again..it's retarded how far they are off the receivers.

Your right but that would be too easy for Chavis to understand. All his droppy eyes see is that they might takes us deep if we play bump and run. News Flash they are taking us 80 yards and wasting 8 min doing it your way Chavis...

It is also (Slade) he is the worst D-back coach in the game. Can you imagine what our Defense would look like if we had some good coaches this year? Fulmer needs to go and he needs to take Chavis and Slade with him.

Ahmen!!! Chavis almost never makes adjustments during the game except on the rare occasion we are winning then he goes to the dang Mustang which usually prevents us from winning.

I dunno, but i enjoyed it a lot. Wilson actually threw the ball away, though, not to our safeties.

Ayers absolutely got after some @$$

Dee Morley is really starting to play well again too. I like that kid. Anyone who comes back to the program the way he did, and he is as talented as anyone out there.

I'm also excited to see a lot more of Ben Martin. I wish we had a starting place for him this year, but our DE's aren't the problem.

Ellix Wilson is playing well. The defense really misses Mayo though. McCoy finally showed his potential, but he has yet to fill into those shoes Mayo left as a dominant lb.

our d is being worn down in the second half on a weekly basis now. they are playing hard and there are a few bright spots. williams, berry, ayers, morley, wilson, and mckenzie are all playing really good football right now. its just we are not getting stops and are allowing teams to get that 80 something yard drive that breaks our guys backs.
