Just curious on how things are going down there if anyone has heard. This should be one of my favorite subplots for the season, particularly given that LSU is not on our schedule.

While I like the guy, I hope that the 3rd and Chavis affliction doesn't end up being limited to our Vols.

According to Les Miles, the defense has already gotten much better at giving up first downs on 3rd and long.

i haven't heard anything as far as fall, but all spring and summer the coaches, sports media, and even the players were raving and applauding how much better the LSU defense was / looked. Everyone's been considering him a huge improvement over what they had last year, especially the players

Well I would hope their defense is better than it was last year if they're ranked so high coming into the season and with what they have coming back...

From the reports I've read they really are excited, focused and feel like they have a better handle on assignments, etc. with Chavis.

Wouldn't take much. lol

I had a friend and a cousin with sideline passes for the UGA game and they told me the kids, when they came off the field and were spoken to by the coaches, had that, "I don't know what the eff you're talking about" look in their eyes.

Our secondary should be fine, possibly the most talented one we've ever fielded as a group. We lost our DE's though and some questions still remain with our LBer's.
