TomDienhart: Some names are floating around: Everett Whiters, Dick Bumpas are a few. All reports seem to indicate that Tennessee wants a big name and will pay TOP dollar.

In other words, he doesn't know jack. I could have given you a better answer than that. Bumpas and Withers are out.

There are some rumors about Steele after NSD and Travis Jones from the Saints.

All of this has been said numerous times over the past 2-3 weeks. No news here!!

What about Norman Ferguson for the DC job? Nobody has brought up his name yet! Or Kenny Roark?

I'm totally stunned that someone on here new Kenny Roark from Middlesboro KY. Haha. I was obviously joking with my comment (Ferguson being a retired Educator and Roark the HS coach there who did win a state championship in the 90's). Those are the only 2 people who haven't been mentioned here as the new DC. It was worth a shot.

Roark actually played center of Kensucky back in the day. Runor is when e was in HS, the coach had to put an R and an L on his shoes so he could get the play going in the right direction.

Haha. I'm giggling that somebody actually got that!!

I'm a Middlesoro grad (Valedictorian 94) and UT grad as well (97 undergrad, 99 grad). They actually won state the same year UT won the NC. But yeah, I got the joke. Ha!

I follow Dienhart on Twitter and my observation has been that he's usually very late to the party with breaking news. Wes Rucker is much better for getting scoops on the Vols.

Know Trevor very well and know Whitney too. She dated the little bro of a girl I dated back then. Small world. Trevor was a class behind me I think.
