As a Chattanooa native I've enjoyed this thread. I don't have much to add other than to comment on what the poster said about football not being a big deal. I graduated Soddy Daisy in 2000. All four years I was there football was a huge deal. We had about 10,000 attend the Cleveland game, that was about 1997. The Red Bank game was so over populated they had to move it to UTC's field. I don't recall the numbers, but I bet there was about 15,000 attend that the first year they did it. I went to Almost every game. We traveled well too, and over crowded pretty much every place we went. Good times. So, I guess it depends on where you went to school.
Ahhhhh those Cleveland yrs. Dante Hickey the best RB I have ever seen come out of East TN and what a waste of pure talent.
