We are now out 5 days without any newspaper articles regarding Tennessee spring practice. Has our sports writers been barred from the practice field. If so, I can understand with all the negative comment regarding Butch Jones from our writers. Georgia is written on everyday in the Chattanooga paper. Chattanooga may need to clean house

Silence and secrecy are great weapons that preserve the element of surprise.

Besides, the Bulldog articles are posted in the drama section of the paper!

It isn't just Chattanooga. Staff is spending more time making adjustments and less time talking to the press. Fewer articles in Knoxville and Maryville papers too. IMO, it is by design.

Since Patrick Brown left, they probably didn't replace him. TFP is full of clowns that are pro AU, KY, and UGA.

Even the guys on Sporttalk have become anti-UT ever since Dr. B passed away and they replaced him with Dave Hooker. Yesterday they had Barnhart on as a guest and kept trying to get him to say Butch was toast, Currie sucks, etc. Tony did say TN could surprise if "Dormany" is the answer, you would think if he had watched practice he could get the name right.

Of course it being around 6PM he was probably already in the sauce ...

Expect that there will be a tease of stories Friday or Saturday, then a 4-page spread covering not only the Orange-White event, but spring practice as a whole.

Getting it all into one or two editions will sell more papers than a steady dribble all week.

Just my guess.

As subscriber I can tell you that PB was replaced with David Cobb who is a UT alum that coverd sports for the school paper and worked at KNS. The Tennessee beat is in good hands.

TFP is always one of the sites that I check for news and stories about the Vols. I've also noticed a difference in coverage since Patrick Brown left. He will be hard to replace.

Witch Doctor say the Knocksville sports media is nothing but a bunch of Ohio state fans...they hate Tennessee sports and love to keep the pot stirred, most post on here. Back when you could message on this site Witchie used to chat with most of them..some have moved on, some still here

Kirby put the wall up on GA 4&5***'s going to TN. We are in a tough place going forward folks....... we recruited 20 plus 3 stars. Not good. Don't blow smoke w/ 3 stars kick ass too. No
