Once this kid comes for his visit and see's what big time SEC football is about in front of 100000 fans he will be a vol write it down

What makes you so sure? Is it you, Tyler?

Umm, no. Imagine you are a 17 year old football player and you have a choice between spending your down time on Cali beaches or Dollywood. Now, which would you choose. :)

I just think proximity is going to be the deciding factor with this kid.

You certainly have a good argument there. IMO that was the big deciding factor for Scroggins going with USC.

Bray will visit UT for the WKU game, so we'll find out how he feels about us fairly soon, I hope.

You do know that other 17 year old kids have left the west coast to come play big time football in the SEC?

If the kid is coming to Knoxville for a visit, that tells you he will strongly consider leaving CA.

I think if Bray gets an offer from UCLA or Cal he will stay out west.

Ok lets say UCLA or Cal DOES offer Bray (which is very, very unlikely), and Bray does commit there, Nottingham or Hinder (whichever one it is) will be very unhappy and would feel unwanted, and would likely look around/decommit (which would again arise the question as to why UCLA and Cal would offer Bray when both are perfectly happy with their respective QBs). If they do look around, both are perfect fits for Kiffin and the staff, and are both probably better than Bray. Kiffin and the staff would jump on them and do everything in their power to get them, and in the end it would probably work. So UCLA/Cal would likely end up with Bray and UT ends up with Nottingham/Hinder. I will take that any day.

Depends.... Some folks like the mountains better than the beach. Some folks like playing in the best conference in the nation, in front of 100,000 fans and being on TV a LOT. SDSU ain't gonna be on any primetime slots (on their own merit) anytime soon. BTW If I were a hotshot QB prospect Tennessee would definitely be a program I would look at & think: "Hmmmm.... I bet I could start there pretty early..."

Ummm, No. Not how recruiting works. If proximity is a factor he will be at SD St. It is Aztecs or Vols that is it. If you are deciding colleges based on beaches or Dollywood then that is where you will end up after college. These guys are deciding which college will get them to the pros. If they are looking at girls and fun, then they SHOULD stay on the west coast. We want a QB that is focused on football.

I know Bray is getting alot of props right now and Scroggins blew us off for USC but if we end up getting one of these guys I hope its Scroggins! I just think he has a better all around game and fits this new staffs system better. GO VOLS!

Agreed..

We need a kid smart enough to know that playing QB in the SEC and doing it well, is really good 'on the job training' for the next level.

Next, he's got to want to play in that enviroment. It's definately not for the faint of heart...

I guess the Clausen's didn't get this memo since they signed with UT, LSU, and ND.

It's senseless to think that big time football players are considering beach time in their decision.
