So Trump's explanation for why he waited two days to denounce the racism of the white supremacists and the neonazis was that he was waiting on getting all of the facts.

Trump started by defending his initial statement responding to the weekend violence in Charlottesville by saying he wanted to make sure he knew the facts before explicitly calling out white supremacists.

“I wanted to make sure, unlike most politicians, that what I said was correct,” Trump told reporters after an announcement on infrastructure at Trump Tower in New York. “Not make a quick statement. The statement I made on Saturday, the first statement, was a fine statement. But you don’t make statements that direct unless you know the facts. It takes a little while to get the facts.”

He added, “When I make a statement, I like to be correct. I want the facts.”

Or when President Obama said it would be very hard to untangle the motives of the Dallas police shooter. This of course after it had been reported that the shooter wanted to kill police officers, especially white ones. Can you imagine the reaction if Trump had said this about the dumbass driving the Dodge?

Yes, he's always been the reasoned harbinger of patience and measured responses - commenting only after the facts are weighed and investigations are complete. Never being one to make assumptions or make knee jerk comments. Trump is a pillar of reason that we should all aspire to emulate.

Fo real tho' - the heat undoubtedly was unbearable, even the dumb trump kid (eric?) would've known better. It's amazing it took two days for his handlers to shame him into it. Mad respect for his babysitters.

Folks, he lied again today. That is not why he didn't condemn it. Its because he didn't want to,pure and simple. Even yesterday he looked like an automaton at a wax museum. He didn't want to condemn it yesterday, either, but his people told him he had to.

You know there was more violence than the guy in the car. There was hate and violence on both sides. He condemned violence immediately. Calling for him to solely condemn the white supremacists is disingenuous and exacerbating things.

I know and you know that no matter what he did or said you'd cry about it and claim he was wrong. You and other lefties aren't good for anything.

I said he could condemn both, but he needed to call out the white supremacists and neonazis by name.

Saying he had to make sure they were there, first, is just idiotic.
