Freak, please move if this isn't the right place to post this.

Visit UT grad owned (98') Oaklore Distilling Co. when you're in town. Excellent bourbon (4-6 yr) and rye whiskey (6+yr) available in the shop. Vodka, gin, and rum made on site, available as well.

If you're coming to tailgate, drink VOLocal!

Hi there, looking for advice on where to set up a tailgate close to the Bank of America Stadium. Does anyone have local knowledge on the best locations within walking distance to the stadium that allow grilling and how to reserve the parking spots?

Thanks PA Vol! We love great whiskey and Tennessee Football!

Also, not sure if PA is for Pennsylvania in your username, but our other founder is from PA!
I’m originally from PA but have lived in the Charlotte area since 2012. A friend of mine from PA now lives about a mile down the exact road Oaklore is on.

I'm with the Charlotte alumni chapter. Where I can I email you about an idea we came up with for a possible event at the distillery? Can I use the general email on your website?

The Charlotte alumni chapter is hosting a social Friday night at Town Brewing starting at 7 PM (Town Brewing Co. Wesley Heights Charlotte NC | Town Brewing). We're also working on setting up a place to hang out before the game Saturday afternoon. When that's finalized, I'll post the location.

Since you'll have time Friday, check out the Whitewater Center (center.whitewater.org). It's a man made whitewater river on over 1000 wooded acres with hiking/mountain biking trails, outdoor climbing walls, flat water kayaking, zip lines, a beer garden and restaurants. There is a parking fee but it's free to use the trails and just walk around the facility. It's about 10 miles west of Uptown (Charlotte has an uptown but no downtown).

Carowinds is an amusement park just south of town on the stateline. Not the biggest but some really good coasters.

There are a couple of entertainment areas in the city with restaurants and bars. Most are along the light rail (Blue line) that runs on the south of town. Other ares are NODA (North Davidson), Plaza Midwood and Uptown. Parking in those areas has become a complete pain.

Consider using the light rail to go the restaurants in Southend but for the game, the train will be jam packed afterwards and you may wait a long time to get out. It also doesn't stop that close to B of A stadium

Haven’t read through the threads to see if this had already been discussed anywhere but does anyone know of any designated tailgating areas? For those of you making the trip, where will you be tailgating? Our crew has our parking pass in Mint Street parking deck, but trying to to be around the tailgate atmosphere with fellow Vol fans.

For pregame Saturday, the alumni chapter will be at Clutch.

It's located about a block away from B of A stadium

Buddy from Raleigh tells me the NC State contingent has historically been particularly taken to the Twilight series. Maybe something about the wolves?
