Charlotte has the No. 18 defense

Good for them, MTSU beat them and Vandy curb stomped MTSU.

If they played West Virginia, Georgia and Alabama, I doubt they would have the #18 defense though. #118 possibly?

Yep. People acting like this team is anywhere near an SEC level defense. Lol. The SC loss has brought all kinds of stupid out in people.

If we lose to Charlotte I will actively call for Pruitt to be fired every chance I get until he wins the SEC east or is canned.

But that’s not going to happen. We win this game by 50... right?

People are automatically chalking this up as a W. We absolutely cannot sleep on this team for not only their D, but also the fact they beat Old Dominion, who beat Virginia Tech by 2 scores.

Absolutely anything can happen on any given day.

Zzzzzz.....

We could easily lose this one. Still way too many mistakes, penalties, etc. South Carolina was garbage and we found a way to lose in true Butch Jones style.

Pruitt has a loser culture to fix before the results on the field (wins) will change. And he needs to recruit some players that can block and tackle consistently.

Lol. Easily lose? So you think Charlotte is on the same level as SC UF and WVU?

If the Vols lose this week to Charolotte, will most of you be ready to admit that the University of Haslam has made another bad coaching hire? After last week's humiliating 2nd half collapse, I can see them struggling.
It wouldn't matter if they win by 1000, you are still going to have the same opinion. So no love for our beloved AD? It wasn't his hire, and he is just a well known mouthpiece. Hmmmmmm

Considering how we looked against ETSU and UT El Paso for a half, I expect us to start slow again before pulling away in the third. If this game is close in the 4th, it's a bad sign that this team can get to 6 wins.
They need to put that one away early by half to keep some semblance of pride going into the last 3 games. We all want 6 wins. Question is does the team want it bad enough....

Now you're making me wonder lol

Don't get me wrong, I think we're improving overall. The folks that are predicting a blowout are basing it on what we should do. However, I've seen us come out flat for these kind of games way too many times for my taste. I hope I'm wrong and we take care of business so the backups can get some meaningful reps.

As usual, more fake news. Using total yards is so gross and old school. Use your brains, reporters. They are 67th in YPP allowed, not good. So, how are they 18th in total yards allowed?? They are 4th nationally in LEAST plays defended.

Also 62nd in scoring defense (26 ppg). YPP and PPG tell the truth. Total yards may be skewed by tempo and other things. Bad, bad use of a stat. Bad reporter, bad!

Agreed. Also, Charlotte isnt ETSU either. I think we will come out flat and slow yet again. The mindset and culture have not been completely changed yet. I expect some sloppy play this week. It wouldnt surprise me at all to see Charlotte in it late in the third quarter.

You must be the life of the party. Or maybe the guy that complains someone gave him a dump truck full of money but blocked his truck in the driveway?

Has slum is hopefully out of the mix enough to let smarter people make decisions. Besides dosen't he have the browns coach to replace? Where is that schiNo guy at?

How about changing your screen name to past tense?

We narrowly dodged the Schiano bullet and still managed to end up with another underwhelming hire. When Currie went rogue and almost hired Leach, you know it was Haslam who made the call to have him fired! Heck, he even had one of his lieutenants ready to take over the AD spots before they knew the fans wouldn't stand for it and instead went with Fulmer.

When the day comes that UT has an intelligent and competent coach back on the sidelines, will be the day that Haslam's reign of terror has finally come to a merciful end! Unfortunately, me and many other VOL fans will probably not live to see it.
