Am I right to assume that one ticket gets you in the gate for both Thursday games? So, if you want to see UT play, assuming there are some tickets on the streets, you've got to get them before the UNC game?

Anyone think they'll be a good number of tickets on the street Thursday?

The ticket is a "session" pass. Therefore, that gets you into both games that night.
If you want to see the UNC game you would need to get a ticket before it, but technically no, you could get in just for our game.

I was thinking that may be the cheapest way especially if you could get someone leaving the first game.

i highly doubt a ticket used to get into the UNC WSU game would get you back in if you bought it off of a fan leaving the first game. It has already been scanned and therefore you can not re enter. I assume this is what you meant by getting someone leaving the first game.

Yeah, that is the whole dilemma and the reason I posted this question. I think some people are under the impression that you can show up just before the UT game and buy a ticket for that game only. My understanding is that is not how these NCAA tourney games work. You buy a ticket for a session, not a game.

The big problem is that UNC plays first. They will have a horde of fans gobbling up tickets. So, if a UT fan wants a ticket off the street, he has to come out early and compete with the UNC fans for session tickets and not single game tickets.

It definitely puts the second game team's fans up against it. Especially, when UNC is involved in the first game. If UNC fans and WSU fans leave after their contest, then you've got lots of empty seats for UT UL with hundreds of fans wanting to get inside without a ticket.

Am I understanding this right?

Yes, that is right. Your best bet would be to get one ahead of time (although its going to cost you a pretty penny) because for every Tennessee fan that is planning on trying to scalp, there are probably 8-10 UNC fans trying to scalp the same ticket.
It's a tough dilemma.

yes, unfortunately it has to be like this...

Hopefully UNC fans are cheering for Tennessee after their game if they stay.

Dang! Didn't think about re entrance! Well looks like I will be battling the UNC people! What are the chances that prices will drop once the 1st game starts?? Scalpers need to get something for their tickets

Actually, that could work to your advantage because after the UNC game starts there will be a decent dropoff in demand for the tickets, so you might get lucky.

Anyone know how many rows are in the upper level? Trying to figure how far up some of these online tickets are.

I have my tickets in hand and plan on being at the UNC game too donned in copious amounts of orange and white.

Traded Race tickets for these midlevel seats

The risk is betting there will be any tickets left after the UNC game starts. If there are tickets still around, I would guess the price drops significantly. From what I hear about UNC fans, though, they "travel" well (especially to Charlotte) and will be out in full force for the first game Thursday. Not sure what the right call is for those wanting to go to the game without a ticket in hand. It'll be tough.

I think there's about 24 rows in the upper deck. But even the lower rows in the upper deck are a pretty good distance up there because there's a few levels of luxury boxes between the 100 and 200 levels.

I've sat in the upper level at Bobcats Arena for some hockey games and concerts and it is a long way up there.

Anyone know if stubhub prices or online tickets would decrease as gameday approaches?

well I was going to go, but there are no student tickets to be bought at the ticket office in Charlotte and I don't have the money to spend to outbid the massive amount ofUNC fans going to be there. If anyone wants to hook a fellow VN brother up I will be glad to take the ticket off your hands!
