Charlie is pushing 60. Go with an up and comer if they get way down the list. Strong had his chance to be the Vol coach but he reneged on the deal. The man was a massive flop at Texas and would have been a disaster in Knoxville with his lackadaisical recruiting.

I would rather roll the dice with Norvell. Strong wasn't great at Louisville and worse at Texas. If you can't win at Texas, you aren't a good coach.

He was successful at Louisville and good at Florida As a d coordinator. I mean some of you are debunking strong but Houston’s former coach is failing also. Personally i think he would be a hell of hire for UT. They need a defensive coach they do better in SEC. Strong recruits well in Florida. He has to be close to that area to be successful and UT is close enough to be successful.

No he wasn't. The big east was crap when he coached there. Anyone would look good against that competition.

It's too early to comment on Tom Herman, but you have to admit he is weird AF

2 good seasons and 2 bad ones......isn't great.

Sure they did have 2 good ones but in 2012 they faced 0 ranked teams until their bowl game.

In 2013 they faced zero ranked teams including their bowl game.
