Tennessee also has SEC players. Moan and groan about UT's roster all you want but the starters are very talented.

Strongly disagree.

How many starters did we have in 2011 that would for sure start at another sec school?

Malik, Rogers, Bray, Hunter, Mo Couch and that's about it.

Are we talking about after a year of two on the bench? If that's the case then add: AJ Johnson, Curt Maggitt, Brian Randolph, PWaggs is a good corner(not safety), Byron Moore, Marcus Jackson, Zach Fulton, Jawuan James.

No we really couldnt. Strong and Dooley both have a lot to prove next year.

Those who are saying they wish we could hire Strong if Dooley gets fired are...deluded.

If Dooley fails and is fired, I want someone who has accomplished so much more than Strong it is absurd. If Tennessee lost to Troy and MTSU like Louisville lost to Marshall and FIU, I would freak out.

Obviously I am being hyperbolic. I know that Strong is not in the Sunbelt, but his Memphis, FIU, Eastern Kentucky type schedule straight up sucks.

As someone else pointed out, a 5 win TN team got one of its wins against the 10 win team from his conference.

well wvu did just light up clemson so

and the acc has an awful bcs bowl record 2-13 basically as many wins as boise st and we all know their schedules suck

We don't know how good a coach Strong is. With the talent the Gators had when he was there a monkey could have coached them. And he sure hasn'tt lit up Louisville yet

I can guarandangtee you that Strong has a more talented roster than Marshall.

It is not close.

By the way:

Signing Day Blitz: Ranking the Big East
1. Louisville

Headliner: Four-star defensive back Gerod Holliman of Miami (Fla.) Southridge is a 6-foot, 180-pounds safety prospect who should flourish in Louisville's strength and conditioning program, but also has the skill set to line up at cornerback. Holliman has great ball skills and is not afraid to make contact.
Sleeper: Offensive linemen standing 6 feet 2 tend to be overlooked nowadays, but at 295 pounds, three-star John Miller of Miami (Fla.) Central is extremely strong and has great feet for his size. The Cardinals staff also did a great job fending off a few schools leading up to Signing Day.
Overview: Charlie Strong is proving to everyone that he is still a recruiting force in the Sunshine State. Twelve of the 19 signed players for the Cardinals come from the state of Florida, including four-star talent such as Holliman, Teddy Bridgewater, Eli Rogers and Andrew Johnson. He also went head-to-head with the big three in Florida on several recruits, and even stole away defensive end Bryant Dubose from Miami on Signing Day.

These are all the Florida kids I was talking about (Strong is doing it again this year) and yes I know it is in part also his asst from there, but Strong is going to start losing the best of those kids to Tennessee if Randy Shannon is really here on Monday.

You can't always project what a coach has accomplished to how successful he will be. Sure, past performance is important, but situations are different and too many other people affect outcomes. Shannon could pull top talent at Miami just because he was there, but Smart has to really fight for what he gets at Louisville. Fulmer and Mack Brown have some of the best records in CFB history, but would we want either of them as coaches now? JMO.

I'm 100% confident he's one of the best DC's around and a better head coach than Derek Dooley
