United Airlines CEO Scott Kirby drew criticism for stating that 50% of the company’s pilot training graduates would be women or people of color. The comments, made during a 2021 interview, resurfaced earlier this year and sparked debate about prioritizing DEI over safety.

A profession of over 90% white males with under 10% female, black, and other persons of color will suddenly be 50-50?

I don’t think it would have raised an eyebrow if he had said we want to encourage and recruit more women and persons of color to come to our pilot training program.

No, in a stunning act of self-serving hypocrisy, she prioritized education and her career in her 20s, and waited until she was 33 to get married and start having kids, unlike what she espouses other women should do.

Agreed, but there are a few others closely related to TP, I can see it fading, but there been a groundswell........ And it seems there are others keen to take on the mantle. We'll see if they have the charisma and drive.

Not now, she was stripped of her family. She's left to pick up the pieces and carry on. Maybe some day she will marry again. It seems kind of petty to take veiled shots at their beliefs though, like you'd have any clue what he would want her to do.

Sure we do, we have numerous quotes from him, and actual video about what place he feels women have in society.

Just because he's dead, doesn't mean you can pretend that he did hold the beliefs that he did (even though they were/are both utter hypocrites when it came to living those beliefs".

She's likely doing exactly what they had discussed, he knew what could happen to him, he lived with death threats constantly. I'm sure they discussed it.

He's said repeatedly that a woman should have a choice to do what they want, not be forced to have a career outside of the home. He's said it's almost impossible to do that in today's America that because of the cost of things the woman must be career driven to survive. He's always said it should be the choice of the woman.

I'm sure if you sat and talked with anyone they'd tell you there are many righteous paths, that what he would want for people to do is this, or what they should do is that. Isn't that part of all of our respective pasts?

If you have children have you ever said to them look, whatever you do don't do this or that? Or that if you had it to do all over again. ....

Literally the first words out of his mouth in that clip, are that women should prioritize the having children and maintaining a family rather than focus on their career, find their husband before 25, get married way younger. Not they should choose to if they want to.

The effort you guys go through to try to retcon his beliefs are just completely nullified by the plethora of clips Charlies spouting this crap on a regular basis while he was alive.

He and his wife were hypocrites, it's nothing new in the world of "conservatives"; you're just going to have to live with it.

Yeah, we all know that religion is rife with "do as I say, not as I do", that doesn't some how make people immune from being called out for their hypocrisy, when they demand of others, what they weren't even willing to do themselves.

Erika waited till she was 33 to get married and start having kids. Charlie told his followers that women should forego a career, find their husband before 25 and focus on kids and the home. He couldn't even be bothered to seek out one of the "uber fertile" women in the magical age range that he felt was ideal for having kids. Hell, Erika didn't even stop focusing on her career after she got married and had kids, she was the CEO of the Corcoran Group.

It's a clip. I've watched at least a 100 of his videos. I watched him debate it several occasions. I know his stance, you don't.
