MY problem with ICE is related to the HOW of ICE. I have problems with the way they are doing things/being used by politicians. it goes beyond the masks. I have never called for violence against them, masks or not.

The violence against ICE is largely due to the political rhetoric out there. I haven't denied that.

the best way to stop that rhetoric is what I fyp'd about with the politicians needing to change things and stop trying to score political points. thats both sides. neither side will man up and be the first to change, and both sides will drag us down as a nation, rather than change.

Does the tax office show a picture when you look up a property owner, or does it just list their name? when someone needs to check who you are, do they just look at your face and go "yup you are who you claim to be?", or are they going to check some form of ID?

That’s true. Though I don’t know we’ve seen the level of vitriol and demonization (e.g., Nazis, slave patrols, etc) that we see from all corners and levels with regards to ICE.

I did this yesterday, while logged onto Google, with that google account linked to pretty much everything I do; it came back with nothing. I have pictures on facebook, and VN, and various google drives/folders, plus any emails that may have reason to include them. the internet is not nearly as helpful as you want it to be here.

I am also very curious about which SM allows you to search via a picture? they are literally going to have to go thru EVERY single SM account hoping to get lucky.

because they are the government, and should be accountable to us, I was just told they don't wear ID numbers so masks really minimize that. our taxes pay for it, meaning we have a say and a part in it. and generally the good guys aren't the ones wearing the masks. hard to build public trust if you won't even show your face. too much room for shenanigans, see Trump during Covid.

I understand what you’re saying that a face alone would not necessarily allow anyone to be doxed however it would make it easier to get someone’s name. Once the name is known then it’s much easier to find the person.

I think much of this is correct, they use social media public information like the database Louder mentioned and photos to figure out who officers are. Once they figure out who they are, where they live and have a photo is when things get particularly dangerous for them.

I watched a documentary recently, in this documentary activists had tried for years to uncover who a secretive woman was who put together videos and other propaganda for a White Nationalist movement that was popular in Canada and the Western US.

People had tried for years, I mean the better part of 5 years to find out who she was. What got her doxxed was a photo she included in some propaganda with a cat in it. Doxxers found that same cat on her social media pages.
