Charlie Kirk Shot and killed

Mine too for the most part. Dont go into detail, and never glorify my sins, but I have been honest with them about my shortcomings as a young man and now. I tell them about things I wish I had done better as a parent too. I want them to be better than me. To learn from my mistakes rather than repeating them. Both of them are better than me, and that pleases me greatly. You being honest with them is probably a good thing. My kids respect me and treat me that way. They appreciate my honesty especially now that they're older (23 and 17)
Absolutely, my daughter is 18. She is in a teaching program at the local community college. She knows my struggle, and I wish those struggles miss her. I grew up in a different place, as does she, I only ask that she does the best with what I've alotted her.

I don’t have a lot of respect for judges, so I can’t answer that.

Although props to the judge when we adopted our son who presented him with a soccer ball after the hearing (I guess hearing is the right word?)
Congratulations. much respect for doing that. Have friends at church who adopted 2. Never appreciated how difficult and expensive that process is until they did it.

In before someone says it was spall and he was wearing body armor.

What would the shirt look like?

I'm not saying what any of this means, I just know they think American public is gulliable and it appears they may be right.

Also Nice nipples on the "body armor"

Which is both weak and cowardly

Given the stuff you post, you shouldn’t call anyone else gullible

Yeah you must be a pretty big dude. Guys my size don't get hired as bouncers regardless of how tough they are. Never been scared to tangle with guys bigger than me (within reason) but when it comes to bouncing physics matter. A guy my size isnt dragging a 250 or 300lb bear out of a bar unless hes unconscious. A buddy of mine (actually one of the 2 i mentioned before) was a bouncer at a strip club thru our early 20s. Rough line of work man at that club anyway. He always enjoyed it though. He dated a lot of the girls 😆 he was too tough for us to give him a hard time about it.

They had me dead to rights because they got my license plate. Called my parents at the house. I knew if I talked it would just put a felony on my buddies and I wasn't gonna do that to them. I am ashamed that we stole those cards, and have had my truck broken into and cleaned out as an adult. Been stolen from otherwise as well. Feel like I earned that regardless of whether God has forgiven me or not. I don't regret not snitching though even though it cost me pretty severely. I chose not to lie to my kids about the poor decisions i made before i got in church and straightened up. Used myself as an example of what not to do. It seems to have been a good decision.
Bouncers have to be strong enough to physically dominate a belligerent man without actually hurting him

Oh, good lord...
People need to learn when to keep their mouths shut. Especially when they have the audacity to spread lies.
No no.... I'm gonna paraphrase: "It is better to open one's mouth and remove all doubt that one is a fool than to keep that mouth shut". I love all these leftists pointing the gun right at their own foot and pulling the trigger.

I thought the article below was pretty good. It's from a Christian perspective on the death of CK and how critical a role algorithms play as to how we view Charlie Kirk.

We are remembering two different Charlie Kirks
Thanks for posting this. It is well done.

It also makes one wonder at all the aspects of our lives that are shaped and influenced by the same way Insidiousness of the algorithm.

We really are two Americas, if not by choice, by technology.

For the few who care about the truth vs how they can exploit it politically on either side of the isle.

The report is BS anyone who has ever hunted with 30-06 knows it.

Damn you for making me go down that rabbit hole. But since I'm there, maybe a person more knowledgeable can shed some light.

When Kirk got shot, immediately it appeared to me he was gone. It reminded me of someone getting knocked out. In other words, the brain was damaged. Can a shot to the neck, nowhere near the stem (and keep in mind the shooter was at an elevated position so the trajectory from the "entry wound" would be downward) have enough force to cause a knockout effect?

I've seen/heard audio from multiple different sources, and it definitely sounds like a 30-06 cannon boom, but the small (for a large caliber) entry wound with no exit wound doesn't match the apparent force needed to accomplish that. What everyone calling the entry wound actually being the exit wound and the true entry wound being somewhere near behind his right ear sure does seem to be more in line with how it appeared his body reacted.

...

It sounds as if it basically boils down to all of your answers are rooted in your belief in a god.
I'm fine with that.
I'm sitting on about a 98.4% probability that there is no god.

I certainly have no interest in a religious debate - which is where this appears to be immediately headed.
BUT.....if you take it to a designated thread.....I'll probably engage anyway. If not.....so be it.
My answers are rooted in my underlying worldview per how I interpret reality--the size of the box that I have to explain reality as I/we see and experience it. Just as yours are. It's easy enough for you to just label it a "religious debate" so that you don't have to have it. But it's a philosophical debate.

We are in a battle for the soul of the nation. It's a battle of ideas. There are huge consequences.

Christians have every right to participate in that conversation. If you have trouble answering the common questions between the worldviews when presented, then that is your issue. If you decide to retreat from the conversation because of problems answering the common questions, then you will not be leading or driving the conversation.

You can probably expect me to broach these types of subjects with you. If that's not something you want to deal with, I will not be offended if you ignore me.

I'm very glad that you had a good day yesterday. Family is important. I hope your Saturday is even better than Friday was.

I watched a video by a guy that was with Charlie when he was assassinated. He rode to the hospital with and gave Charlie CPR. He said his pupils were fixed and dilated. Deep down he knew Charlie was already gone. A surgeon at the hospital told him Charlie died instantly.

As to the round that hit Charlie, lot's of factors go into wound channels and damage. One is the bullet type. There are all kinds of bullet types. 30-06 is a popular hunting round so there are designed for maximum destruction in order to make humane kill while hunting. Some are for just target shooting and are usually much less expensive. FMJ falls into this category. Those rounds typically won't do as much damage as more sophisticated hunting rounds.
