Charlie Kirk Shot and killed

Oof. That's gonna be a sore point for some.

Both points can be true at the same time. That is where nuance and context comes into play.

No one deserves to see family die on camera. Floyd had drugs in him that may have caused his death. Floyd was committing a crime at the time. Floyd has helped hold a pregnant woman up at gunpoint.

Chauvin may have been a racist, and I'm not excusing his behavior but consider the difference between Dr King in the 1960's vs holding Floyd in such esteem. It would be a pitiful and disgusting comparison but it's how far society has fallen in standards.

Didn't the court rule the officer was at fault for his death?

It was a necessary election win though regardless. No one else was ready, and certainly the left had no answer for hte right person in our atmosphere. And he was the only one that was going to do any of the dirty work that is also needed. I always viewed and welcomed him as the catalyst, but never saw him as the long game. But, no one was ready to assume the next phase.

He was one of the very few that could have defeated the left at the time. Now I think he has helped to expose the left he has made it easier for others.

Of course you're not guaranteed equality. Life's not fair! Which is precisely why people should be.
Life wasn't fair in the bible either. Beggars were outside the city gates. Jesus didn't go in and take everybosy's stuff and go give it to them.

He did teach them they were repsonsible to care for others. But he put that on those that had. He did not steal it and redistribute what they had.

context from the right wing snopes
Kirk made the statement in reference to Floyd's alleged criminal history and the circumstances surrounding his death. Kirk's exact words were: "I am also going to offer some context and some nuance about the death of George Floyd that no one dares to say out loud. Which is that this guy was a scumbag. Now, does that mean he deserves to die? That's two totally different things — of course not."

It's been so long, I stopped following the conclusions. I would have to Google it. I think our old threads would be too hard to follow.

Chauvin should've been held accountable and he was, I'm saying drugs in his system played a part. I sorta suspect covid too. Some who had it, had problems with respiratory when lying down. I'm not sure how much of that was clear at the time.

Under public outcry, I think so. But, IIRC, there was enough to show what was in his system, fentanyl maybe, was also a likely cause.
I understand not trusting the court or decision. You don't think if drugs played a part and the defense proved it, the verdict would have been different?

44,000 hearts (likes, I assume).

Good hearted, tolerant liberals.
It’s truly sad how a guy who created a platform by talking to others, who has “extremist views” that from most accounts seem taken out of context, but is obviously right leaning, has brought so much hate to the surface. The level of comfort people have shown to have while spewing absolute hatred for someone who really has zero impact on their life is astounding and pathetic.

No. Too much pre-trial public verdict. Right, wrong or indifferent the cop was cooked. Excessive force. Likley, but full video footage that I saw atleast made me question. I think there was a point where he was more than safe to back off. That much is undeniable. Were his actions the sole cause of Floyd's death. I don't buy it in this case speficially. But, we will never know if Floyd would have lived or still died from fentanyl unless the cop had relented once he subdued. I can't recall the exact verdict, but if I was a juror, i'd have said voluntary manslaughter and not murder. It wasn't premeditated, it wasn't targeted. It was a reaction to a hard to subdue perp. I could not ask for involuntary because he did have ample time to collect himself and back off after Floyd was restrained and cuffed finally. Atleast that what I discerned with what I saw released. What sways me toward the cop in some ways is that there were other cops, non-white asian/black, present and no one tried to back him off. I always felt there was a reason for that we weren't privy to. Or they just decided to let him dig his own grave when it went that far.

The court failed him by not moving the venue?
