no I did not. as I pointed out that is the danger in people using the wrong terms. especially charged political terms.

it leads to misunderstandings, misunderstandings which lead to a death. if there was ever a thread* to mind your p's and q's this is it.

Kirk wouldn't just say "prove me wrong". he would list facts, his opinions based on those facts, and then ask if he was wrong, and usually he wanted facts.

admittedly in a fair number of his uses of "prove me wrong" there were no facts either way. but at least he was able to clearly state was his position was instead of using the Trump-esque vagueness counting on people making positive assumptions based on the vagueness.

Don't need good luck for postings in an anonymous politics forum. Credible and productive people don't discuss politics in social settings. If someone tries to do it, that person is generally the dumbest person in the room

My obsession comes from the fact that my daughter played volleyball. During her senior year a boy in North Carolina pretended to be a girl and spiked a volleyball so hard into a girl's head that she continues to have medical issues to this day. The fact that you and your ilk cannot understand that boys that have reached puberty are bigger, faster and stronger make me question your ability to discern anything with any amount of intelligence.

it says that ones being targeted are the ones in power. The right is in power now, so they aren't as threatened by the other side...at the moment only. If it was Obama in charge doing the exact same things Trump was doing now; the reactions by both sides would be flipped.

neither side actually wants things to get better. neither side is taking any action that would have diminished the chance of Charlie Kirk being assassinated. both sides are using his death to score political points while giving hollow speeches and acting in a counter productive manner.

if YOU don't want to see more deaths like CK, YOU need to make sure YOU actually change before you go expecting it of others.

VN has a plague of posters in the politics forum who don't want to argue what you're saying, so they pretend you have a different position, or they invent motives for you, and then they argue with that.

It's almost as if it's a microcosm of a society that championed a guy for his approach to public discourse when the reality is he rose to fame by gaining attention by arguing in bad faith.
