Charlie Kirk Shot and killed

See that just seems like such a high number and a big reason I’d advice against my child joining (unless they’re 100% certain to make it their career) you join for a few years make little money just to restart where you were after HS?
One contract pays for college** you dolt (no offense, but kinda). Plus depending on the MOS, gives you an ACTUAL skill.

It’s not “little money“ comparatively. They would learn more from service than college by far.

**I haven’t paid chit for my Bachelors or my Masters. Wouldn’t have mattered if I did 3 years or 20.

I get it. You're not wrong in my opinion. Just about every absolutist has a breaking point which contradicts the absolutism. It's interesting how we individually decide where that breaking point is.
That’s a good point. I’m undecided where mine is, or if it even exists. If you ask me a week from now I may have a different opinion on it

Not at all. There are plenty of dumb people of all races in positions for which they are not qualified.
CK was the one making it a racial thing.
If he had made a standalone comment, limited just to Justice Jackson, would it have then been ok?

I’m glad you too share my concerns

Not certain either company is doing great. Could explain a lot.

Very genuinely thought you were black and idk why.
🤭🤣Nice one!

I left Nissan at the end of 1996. GE's resurgence as company began in the mid to late 1990s, not because of me, but because of the genius of Jack Welch and his direction. Immelt took over a few years later, and as a result, made some difficult decisions that didn't turn out so well. Knowing him very well, I can say he was uncomfortable in that role and was much more suited to a division role as a VP. Much like a great OC who wasn't cut out for a HC role

Maybe you thought I was black because I recently relayed some history of my father spearheading a movement with the airlines to stop hiring less qualified white pilots in favor of more qualified black pilots during the early to mid 1970s

I dont want to see graphic sex or death on TV or out in public. Words are not a problem for me...don't like them but doesn't bother me.

<eyeroll> It was a summary, which I expanded with quotes and detail. Just stop.

I've historically given you great leeway, but not on this subject. Go back into your hole. I've lost complete patience with your horse ****. Every other poster that tried this horse **** finally got too embarrassed and moved on. You should be smart enough, and have enough self-respect, to do the same.
Please.....leeway? Go back into your hole? lost patience? You quickly turn into a joke when you have no argument.

Charlie made some stupid comments. It was his schtick. Someone compared him to the modern day Rush Limbaugh. I agree. Maybe racist???????????? Understandable how reasonable people could reach that conclusion.

About that claim…any proof?

Not that I don’t believe you (I don’t), but I walked on the moon not once, but twice

If the worst anyone ever says is that men with more testosterone are more likely to be Republican/conservative, that person is likely a saint.

But there is evidence showing that giving democrats testosterone, increases their interest in right wing positions.

The evidence is better though for physical strength than testosterone as a predictor

It seems most of the dims with the most testosterone are actually women.

@evillawyer

Is this the permissible strain of whataboutism you engage in?
Or the impermissible strain of whataboutism you righteously rebuke?
It's an attempt (not very well done) to undermine the Dems by juxtaposing their supposed "violent" statements with their current statements. So in that sense I'd call this a rhetorically permissible use of whataboutism. But the attempt fails. Other than the Goldman statement about "eliminating" Trump, I don't see anything in there that really approaches the use of violent rhetoric. I don't think the use of the word fascist and Nazi is violent rhetoric. That's political hyperbole, akin to how Dems are called commies by those on the right (communists, after all, killed way more than the Nazis and fascists - so if fascist and Nazi are violent rhetoric, then so too is commie).

Not gonna quote posts.

Employment is a privilege, not a right.

You have the right to say whatever the **** you want. Your employer doesn’t have to agree, and can act accordingly
Especially if you say **** that may cost them money due to public opinion and perception.

The problem a lot of these radical lefties have is their echo chambers. They mistakenly believe that the culture at large will cheer their disgusting hate because everyone in their echo chamber cheers their disgusting hate. Combine that with the fact that the moderate majority was cow-towed by the woke bullies for years.

But that worm seems to have turned. These folks get outside of their echo chambers and get devastatingly shocked. And it would seem that, the cover of their bully-culture removed, they experience what they were threatening others with.

I'll never push for anyone to get cancelled or fired, but I will admit to seeing a sad sort of irony in seeing it happen.

There is supposedly a database being published with 10s of 1000s of people celebrating Charlie's death. Can you imagine that? Being in a searchable online database that any HR recruiter, hiring boss, current boss, potential date, father-in-law, etc can search at any time in the future?

It may not just cost you your current job, but future jobs, relationships... That is heavy. Likely too high a price for the action, but damn folks. Get out of your echo chamber and figure out how to live in society.

I’d be interested in a study that shows how long on average those who join undecided on their future actually stays in 20 years. My guess is you’re one of the rare ones but I could be 100% wrong on that
25 years, 3 months, and 28 days AD USAF. Enlisted at the age of 17. All I knew out of HS was I wanted to make my own money and see the world and I achieved both. I'd do it again.

My oldest is presently 16 years AD USAF with the last 14 years spent at various locations all over the world. He has more money in the bank than I made my first 10 years in service. Lol

Both of us have experienced ups and downs while serving, its just life.

You're just wrong. Period.

You walked into this conversation with zero knowledge of context. You've bluffed your way through it the entire time, and still don't know what you are talking about. For instance, Charlie didn't make it about race, as you just posted. The entire conversation was a response to the four women who made it about race.

If I am a 'joke' for the level of my response, it's pure disgust at what you and others in here are doing. You have literally created a new low for yourself. Carry on. Seriously. You're just outing yourself as a disgusting individual who's inventing ways and reasons to attack a man who was just murdered and can no longer defend himself--all for political purposes. It's despicable. You are despicable.

If feeling that way is a joke, I am the funniest man to ever live.

You and the others in here mischaracterizing Charlie for these reasons truly and deeply disgust me. And that is showing restraint.

If the options are gun deaths as we currently experience them and a 2A

Vs

No gun deaths and no 2A

Then I'm choosing option 1
So you can't be mad that Kirk was killed. Or that kids are killed at school on a pretty regular basis. Because as long as guns are rampant in this country, anyone can kill anyone pretty much any time they want to. You get shot or you don't, thems the breaks.
