Yes, "hate speech" is speech that hurts people's feeling and/or displays the bigotry of the person saying it. Are we both in agreement that no speech, no matter how insulting to one's sensibilities it is, should not be banned from public discourse and should never be silenced through violence unless it is an irrefutable call to violent action?Where is hate speech prohibited in the constitution?
I'm not arguing that he said anything that should be prohibited.
Hate speech is defined as "abusive or threatening speech or writing that expresses prejudice on the basis of ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or similar grounds."
So telling women to submit to their husbands and that they are in charge expresses prejudice, for example. Not sure how you can argue against that. Using the term "prowling blacks" to fearmonger is another example of expressing prejudice. Fear-mongering that brown immigrants are intent on replacing us, for example.
You say they rightfully lost their jobs. So your tolerance of free speech is low? Or what?Who could have predicted that the Right would go too far in policing speech in the aftermath of the assassination??
Many people have rightfully lost their jobs because of horrific things they posted that their employers felt they didn't want representing their place of business or school, including my county's school board chair who said and I quote "Call me old fashioned, but I remember when we used to be okay with shooting Nazis." If you want to be the party of free speech though, your level of tolerance for speech you don't like needs to be higher than the other party. You can't go on cancel culture rampages and still claim you're the free speech party.

I don’t think most people should be losing their jobs over their Charlie Kirk posts. But I make an exception for educators and health care workers. Their temperament is in question and they have to be impartial to retain public confidence. You say they rightfully lost their jobs. So your tolerance of free speech is low? Or what?
A little more context of what he was talking aboutIn the context of what the topic was, the women he was commenting on said they were in their positions due to DEI if I am not mistaken, at least one of them did. Then he made a comment about their intellect.
Saying they lack brain processing power is not even the bad part. Most of congress lack that same ability. What was worse is saying they replaced white people. I am not going to pretend I know who the other candidates were for those positions, so without that lack of context that part sounds really bad.
We got people in the government saying back people can’t figure out how to use a computer, it’s is all pandering and stupidity is abound in our government.
Where did Elon say that exactly? And did he make a distinction between legal and illegal immigrants?Using the N word has been effectively banned from public discourse, and I'm good with that. I feel like both sides of the aisle should snuff all this out through voluntary action. The best way to do this is for each side to police their own, but we all know how much the GOP and DNC leadership are disinterested in that. The least we can hope for is Volnation people to police their side, but we're not seeing a ton of that, either.
I still can't find one MF right-winger on Volnation who will say anything negative about Elon Musk advocating for the removal of non-white immigrants as "the only way."

So by holding to that standard, I will put $100,000 that you are a racist, misogynist and or bigot. So you think saying a group of black women only got their jobs because of DEI because they lack the brain processing power to do those jobs?
That's the exact same thing racist clowns were saying in the 1960s and 1970s about blacks playing the QB position. I actually heard that you into the early 1980s when I was playing collegiate sports
Here's a teaching moment from Charlie Kirk. I urge ppl to hear it to the end.

There is around 7-10% of white people being here illegally (Europe, Australia, New Zealand). It is not the only way. We can't just send out only a certain kind of illegal immigrant. Either we let them all stay, or kick 'em all out. I prefer the latter.
However, I don't recall him saying that.
Because he never said it. In fact he wants and supports more H-1B visa’sPresent!

It has been banned? I hear it every day in the black community. Every. Day.Using the N word has been effectively banned from public discourse, and I'm good with that.
