I don't know why but I watched a video from some guy that got fired from Microsoft for celebrating the killing via social media. He was incredulous as he was just expressing his joy at the killing (and joy is a feeling he said) which he still feels. He goes on to say that he spent six years building the DEI efforts at Microsoft from the ground up.

Seems he's a little unclear on at least the D and I in DEI.

I'm mixed on all the firings but it kinda puts into perspective that a lot of the DEI is not about D or I.

Oh I know - I've had my experiences with it. Just thought it was ironic that a DEI specialist doesn't understand why expressing joy at the killing of someone with different viewpoints is problematic on the old CV.
